63.86 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in the state, nearly Rs.13,283 crore paid to 15.93 lakh farmers
38.55 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted from the societies for custom milling

The amount of paddy procured at support price from farmers of the state is increasing constantly towards the estimated target of 110 lakh metric tonnes. Till now, 63.86 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured, in lieu of which Rs.13,283 crore has been paid to 15.93 lakh farmers of the state under the bank linking system. Since November 1 against the paddy procurement target, more than 69 percent of paddy has been procured.
It is noteworthy that due to the ease in the selling process of paddy and the better arrangement and availability of gunny bags for the lifting of paddy by the millers, paddy procurement and custom milling are being done flawlessly. Till now DO has been issued for the lifting of 47.95 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, in lieu of which 38 lakh 55 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers.
Food Department Secretary Mr. Topeshwar Verma said that this year 25.92 lakh farmers have been registered in the state and about 2.26 lakh are newly registered farmers. 2600 procurement centers have been set up for paddy procurement in the state. Normal paddy is being procured at the rate of Rs.2040 per quintal and grade-A paddy is being procured at Rs.2060 per quintal. A strict vigil is also being kept on the system of paddy procurement in the state. Goods carriers are being inspected at check posts to prevent illegal transportation of paddy from border states.
Today, as of December 21, 2 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been purchased from 58 thousand farmers in the state, apart from this, more than 74 thousand tonnes of paddy have also been purchased from the farmers through tokens obtained online. 15,137 tokens have been issued online through the 'Token Tuhar Haath' app and 71,290 tokens have been issued by other means for paddy procurement.

Under the CAMPA scheme in Chhattisgarh, extensive work will be done to increase the overall productivity of forest areas, along with proper wildlife management and maintaining ground water conservation in forest areas. In the meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain at Mantralaya here today, proposals worth Rs. 544 crore 39 lakh were approved in the Annual Action Plan of CAMPA for the year 2023-24.
In the steering committee meeting of CAMPA, Chief Secretary Shri Jain reviewed the progress of CAMPA's works in great detail. Officials informed that under the annual action plan of CAMPA for the year 2023-24, the work related to increasing the productivity of forest areas, compensatory tree plantation, restoration of bamboo forests, wildlife management and increasing groundwater conservation in the forest area are some extensive development works that will be done on a priority basis. In today's meeting, it was recommended to extend the tenure of the members of the CAMPA Steering Committee and Implementation Committee for one year. PCCF, Shri Sanjay Shukla was also present in the meeting today.
Officials said that along with compensatory afforestation from the ‘CAMPA mad’, various forest development works like, silviculture work, protection of forests, development of pastures for improvement of the habitat of wild animals, development and protection of fruit plantations and water sources in the forest area is being done to increase productivity of the forest area. And especially, ground water conservation work is being done to conserve water and maintain the ground water level in forest areas as well. Along with this, tree plantation and water catchment area development works are being done on the banks of the rivers to keep the nature of important rivers of the state intact.
Similarly, , forest roads are being constructed and upgraded to facilitate the movement in forest areas. Construction of buildings for the front line staff of the Forest Department and necessary facilities are being developed in the forest colonies. From the year 2019-20 to the year 2022-23 , work has been done under CAMPA in 27 thousand 308 hectare area. For the implementation of CAMPA works, a proposal of Rs 779 crore 37 lakh was sent to the Government of India under the second supplement in the year 2022-23, against which a budget of Rs 300 crore has been approved.
Under the habitat development of wild animals, in addition to the development of water sources from the Campa head, the work of pasture development has been done in a 4889-hectare area and fruit tree plantation work has been done in 582 hectares,. Apart from providing fodder to the wild animals through pasture development work in the forest areas, fodder will be made available to the nearby herds.

Bilaigarh : School children reached the Pawani helipad to bid farewell to the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while he was returning from the Bhent Mulaqat program in Bilaigarh. When the Chief Minister reached the helipad, the children called him while shouting "Kaka-Kaka". The Chief Minister heard that and gladly approached the children to talk to them. He asked the primary and high school children about their studies and advised them to study well while giving his best wishes.

Balodabazar-Bhatapara tourism circuit commences

In a bid to pay homage to Martyr Veer Narayan Singh and to develop the place of his birth and work,a grand open-air museum has been constructed by the district administration Balodabazar-Bhatapara at Sonakhan, which was inaugurated today by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Apart from this, Mr. Baghel also inaugurated the Balodabazar-Bhatapara tourism circuit. This tourism circuit will be an amalgamation of Giroudpuri, the birth and workplace of Baba Guru Ghasidas, Sonakhan, the birthplace of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, and Damakheda, the famous spiritual place of the Kabir sect. Moreover, Turturia, Siddhkhol Falls, Balardem, Siddheshwar Temple,Palari and Shiva Temple of Narayanpur are also included in this tourism circuit. . It is noteworthy that various facilities will be made available to the tourists visiting this tourism circuit.
This museum built in Sonakhan will be the first of its kind in the state, where the biography of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh is being displayed through an audio-visual setup that will be presented in a special metal namely Corten steel. The biography of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh has been engraved on long and beautiful panels made of corten steel whose magnificence can be seen during the day as well as at night. The beautiful lighting effect adds to the beauty of this audio visual esperience . All the panels are fitted with an audio setup, through which Martyr Veer Narayan Singh’s story from birth to revolution and his sacrifice can be heard. This audio is available in Hindi, English and Chhattisgarhi language and visitors can set the audio language as per their choice.
It is worth mentioning that Corten steel has been used to create artifacts in various great projects in the country. It has been used in Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Bihar Museum and numerous prestigious projects in many countries. There will also be arrangements for adequate parking space and the canteen will be operated by the self-help groups. Along with this, the entry to the museum will be paid for by the people coming here. This innovation to preserve a significant historical event will give a boost to tourism and will lead to employment generation as well

Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel has unveiled a major gift for the students of the Scheduled Castes and OBC sections. Mr. Baghel has announced the opening of new Prayas Schools in all the regional headquarters of the state. Moreover, separate hostels will be established for these sections. In addition, an e-library will be established at the cost of Rs 50 lakh at the Post-Matric Boys'Hostel, Pension Bada in capital city Raipur by Municipal Corporation Raipur.
In his address to the Guru Ghasidas Jayanti program organized at Government Model Post-Matric Schedule Caste Boys Hostel in Pension Bada, Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel said that Guru Ghasidas ji was a saint who gave the message of 'Mankhe Mankhe Ek Samaan' for upliftment of the society. Besides, he also gave the message of equality, harmony, unity and love to eradicate the social evils prevalent at that time. He added that Guru Ghasidas ji was the only sain who gave discourses in Chhattisgarhi.
Chief Minister said that it doesn't matter where a person comes from, or to which religion or community a person belongs. It is the quality education and the moral values that enhances personality of a person and helps in achieving success in life. Chhattisgarh Government is making consistent efforts to provide quality education to children. He said that we have reopened 260 schools in Bastar. 279 Swami Atmanand Schools have been opened to provide quality English medium education to children. Our Government has started recruitment of teachers on the largest scale after 1998. He sanctioned Rs 1000 crore for renovation of the buildings of schools, hostels, and ashrams. He also mentioned about Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana of Chhattisgarh Government.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the railway over bridge of Mahasamund Tumgaon Road today by cutting the ribbon of the overbridge during the statewide Bhent Mulaqat programme. On this occasion, Minister in-charge of Home and District Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Mahasamund Mr. Vinod Chandrakar were also present.
It is noteworthy that the much awaited Tumgaon overbridge was very significant for the general public and with the construction of this railway bridge, the residents of the city will not be hindered by the frequent problems of traffic jams and will be able to commute swiftly. The people of the district, especially the daily commuters from Tumgaon and Mahasamund, will be significantly relieved from this. At present, due to the closure of the railway gate, a situation of frequent jams was created. But with the construction of railway overbridge, they will get relief from this and commuter's time will also be saved.
With the construction of Tumgaon railway overbridge, Mahasamund's population of more than 35 thousand will get convenience of smooth commute. According to the information recieved by officials,the overbridge will be completed at a cost of 40 crores. The amount of land acquisition is separate and not included in this. The total length of the overbridge is 616 meters and the width is 15 meters. Railway crossing is 294 meters towards Mahasamund and 248 meters towards Tumgaon and the length of railway crossing is 74 meters.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that the government has formed because of people's faith in our welfare policies. Soon after taking the oath, our first decision was to waive off loans of farmers. Shri Rahul Gandhi gave us 10 days' time for the same. We did it in 10 hours.
People have reposed their faith in us, we have 71 seats in the legislative assembly now. The state government has taken major decisions in the interest of the farmers.
We gave the highest price for agricultural produce in the country. Oilseeds and pulses are also being purchased at the support price.
Farmers are getting the instalments of the schemes on time and will give the fourth instalment before March 31.

He started the program by garlanding a photograph of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and by singing the state song.
According to the Chief Minister, Sirpur once served as Chhattisgarh's capital and was a hub for trade and education. This is where Buddhist monks congregate. Additionally, it served as a hub for commerce and trade. This place has a long and rich history. Ayurvedic medicine and education have traditionally been centered on trade.
Numerous monks must have meditated in this revered location. This has been Nagarjuna's abode.
How many visitors from so many different cultures must there have been? The very thought of this exhilarates the mind, he said.
As per Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, when the government was established four years ago, we made promises to the farmers that we would forgive their loans and cut the electricity bill by half.
The scheme was introduced for landless laborers for the first time in the nation. We also completed tasks that we had not even agreed to complete while keeping in mind the demands of the state.
Have invested in schemes like Chattisgarh ke Chaar Chinhari "Narva, Garva, Ghurva, aur Bari", which successfully brought water to the farms.
We headed towards Mantralay as soon as the government was established and made the decision to waive the loan. It was decided to purchase paddy for Rs. 2500, the support price.
We are giving installments to farmers every year under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Yojana. The fourth installment of this scheme will be received before March 31, before the end of the financial year.
The Chief Minister states that since we increased the number of societies, there are now more than 2000 societies.
Farmers no longer need to travel far because there are 2500 paddy procurement centers. Gunny bags are offered, and payment is received within three days.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel addressed a press conference at Bagbahara Rest House as a part of his 'Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan' today.
Addressing the media persons, he said that everyone is getting the benefit of the Nyay Yojana. People have got relief from availing the benefits of the schemes run by the state government.
He said that a target has been set to procure one crore ten lakh metric tonnes of paddy this year.
He said that locals and producers are getting benefitted from the millet plants started by the state. This is also boosting employment at the local level.
People across the state are saying that migration has been curbed with the commencement of income-generating activities in Gauthans.
Remarkable work is being done in the health sector, and schemes like Haat Bazar, and Slum Swasthya Yojana are being implemented.
42 lakh people are taking advantage of the Bijli Bill Half Yojana.
Pulses are being procured at support prices in the state.
There is an increase in the demand for English medium schools. People are availing benefits of various government schemes. The work of issuing public documents has also been simplified.
The state government making consistent efforts to reduce the distance between the administration and the public.
We have also chalked out plans for the welfare of Tendupatta collectors. The government and administration are working in the interest of the people.

Company will pay Rs.15 lakh to Annu, a victim who lost her family in the Kumhari flyover accident

Royal Infra, the company engaged in construction of the Kumhari flyover, will provide Rs.15 lakh for the education and other needs of Annu Dewangan, a victim who lost her both parents in the Kumhari flyover accident. District Collector Mr. Pushpendra Kumar Meena and District SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav discussed with the management of the company in this regard and asked them to take responsibility of the girl child for her education and other needs. Officials told the management that the contract has conditions to take care of all safety measures that are needed during the flyover construction. The negligence of the company led to a serious accident. In this very unfortunate accident, the girl lost her parents. The company should bear the expenses of her upbringing. After discussion, the management now will provide an amount of Rs.15 lakh. The company management will provide a cheque of Rs 15 lakh to the family members of Annu on Thursday in the presence of Collector Mr.Pushpendra Kumar Meena and SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav on the Collectorate premises.
Fruits developing in Pepper vines cultivated in forest areas of Kondagaon

The black pepper vines planted in the forest area of the Kondagaon district now have started developing fruits called peppercorns. The cultivation of black pepper was started on an experimental basis in Kondagaon. In forest areas, black pepper plants were planted near sal trees and their vines were climbed on sal trees.
DFO of South Kondagaon Forest Division said that in the years 2006-07 and 2008-09, an amount of Rs 8.80 lakh and Rs 7.90 lakh respectively received from the Chhattisgarh State Medicinal Plants Board for cultivating black pepper in the forests area under Dahikonga range. With this amount under the agricultural experiment, in the year 2006-07, 7000 vines of black pepper were planted over trees and in the year 2008-09, 15000 thousand vines of black pepper were planted. In the year 2014-15, Rs.13 lakh was received for preparing one lakh saplings of black pepper, which will be used for distribution to the villagers by Kopabeda Nursery in the Kondagaon area. Both these projects were started experimentally for the cultivation of black pepper.

In recognition of the completion of four years of government in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, December 17 will be observed as Chhattisgarh Gaurav Divas. The Chief Minister will also address the public on this day. On the day of Gaurav Divas, programs will be organized in Gauthans, cooperative society complexes, paddy purchase centers, Tendupatta collection centers, office sites of forest produce management committees, haat-bazaars, wards of urban bodies of all the districts. In these programs, people will be given information about the achievements and will also get information about the public welfare schemes and programs of the Chhattisgarh government in the last four years.
At a video conference held today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain briefed the Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officers, Forest Divisional Officers, and senior officials involved with these activities about the Gaurav Diwas and provided the required guidance in this regard. On Gaurav Diwas, events will be held starting at 11 am in all Gauthans, Tendupatta collection centers, and in urban area wards, starting at 3 pm in the areas of the Primary Cooperative Society and paddy purchase centers.
Participants of the program that will be held in Gauthan will include the chairman and members of the Gauthan committee, farmers from the village, landless workers, people's representatives, members of local bodies, members of the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, and local residents. Public representatives and local citizens will participate in the program organized at the ward level in urban areas. Gaurav Divas will also be organized in tendu Patta collection centers and in village markets in forest areas. On the day of the Gaurav Divas in Tendupatta collection centers, information about the achievements of the government will be given in Haat Bazars along with information about the schemes being run for the farmers and laborers. Similarly, by inviting farmers to primary cooperative societies and paddy purchase centers, they will be given information about major agricultural schemes of the government such as the Byaj Mukt Rin Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, etc.

Subuktara, husband Shri Israfil, was referred from Pratappur in the hospital affiliated with the Medical College, on November 29, in a case related to high-risk pregnancy. Despite receiving information from the hospital during her on-call duty in the hospital, she did not promptly discharge her official duties and responsibilities.
In the preliminary inquiry report received on December 01 regarding the incident, it was found that Dr Manju Ekka has shown extreme negligence in discharging her official duties. This act is a clear violation of Rule 3 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965. She has been suspended with immediate effect under Rule 9 (a) of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1966 for showing negligence in allocated work. Her headquarters has been fixed as office Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Hospital Superintendent, District Hospital, Surajpur and she will be eligible for subsistence allowance as per rules during the suspension period.
