Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Siddhishikar Vijay Utsav, organised by the Jain community at the Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium on September 9. During the event, Shri Sai highlighted the Jain community's deep-rooted tradition of 'tapasya' (penance), emphasising that such acts of devotion would bring prosperity and well-being to Chhattisgarh. A remarkable 114 ascetics, ranging from an 11-year-old boy to an 80-year-old woman, observed 'Tap Sadhana' for 44 days following Jain tradition. The Chief Minister honoured these dedicated ascetics for their commitment.

Shri Sai spoke about the immense discipline of Jain saints and monks, who undertake long barefoot journeys and practice restraint in their consumption of food and drink, all while praying for the welfare of humanity. He praised the Jain religion's noble tradition of accepting mistakes and seeking forgiveness. He also paid tribute to the saints who had arrived in the sacred land of Lord Ram’s maternal home and Mata Kaushalya, expressing his hope that their blessings would bring prosperity and happiness to every household in the state.

Presiding over the event, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh emphasised the blessings Chhattisgarh has always received from saints and spiritual leaders. He noted that the ascetics' profound penance was inspired by their gurus, whose guidance and blessings have consistently provided strength and motivation. Dr. Singh expressed his wish for Chhattisgarh, the land of Lord Shri Ram's maternal home, to remain an oasis of peace, happiness, and prosperity.

Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal congratulated the Jain ascetics, stating that their penance would bring prosperity and bliss to Chhattisgarh, a land of dharma and karma. He encouraged everyone to incorporate the teachings of the esteemed saints into their lives. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, and other dignitaries honoured the ascetics for their spiritual dedication.

Revered Jayapal Vijayi Maharaj also addressed the gathering, emphasising the core values of the Jain religion, which upholds non-violence and compassion. He remarked that the Jain philosophy views consumerism as a form of violence and that the penance of the saints and monks is conducted for the welfare of both the world and the nation. He compared the principles of Jainism to the depth of the Atlantic Ocean and the height of Mount Everest, praising the 114 ascetics for achieving spiritual victory through their ‘Tap siddhi’.

Revered Priyadarshi Vijay Ji Maharaj and Revered Teerth Prem Vijay Ji Maharaj were also present at the event. The program, organised by Shri Jain Shwetambar Murtipujak Samaj and Chaturmas Samiti, was attended by MLAs Shri Rajesh Munat, Shri Gajraj Pagaria, and Shri Swarup Chand Jain, along with officebearers and members of the entire Jain community.

Chief Minister urged the state's people to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Balram Ji as Farmer’s Day annually

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended a workshop on organic and natural farming at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya on September 9. He emphasised that cow-based natural farming would pave the way for prosperity and well-being for the state's farmers. He also highlighted that farmers could achieve prosperity by adopting organic farming methods. He urged to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Balram Ji as Farmer’s Day annually. He also honoured farmers who have adopted cow-based organic and natural farming practices and are inspiring others in the field.

Shri Sai extended greetings to the state's people on Lord Shri Balram Ji's birth anniversary. He mentioned that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare is actively working to improve agriculture and boost farmers' incomes. The government is continuously striving to enhance farmer participation in sectors like horticulture, fisheries, and animal husbandry to help double their income. As part of the event, an exhibition on organic and natural farming was organised. All Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the state, including Raipur, celebrated the Farmer’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Balram Ji.

In his speech, Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasised the vital role of agriculture in sustaining the livelihood of a significant portion of the population. He noted that the agricultural sector has undergone various innovations, bringing tangible benefits to farmers. Reflecting on the past, the Chief Minister recalled how farmers were compelled to take high-interest loans from moneylenders and landlords. He praised the late Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee for introducing the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, which has provided farmers with easier access to low-interest loans.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted that the state government has disbursed a two-year pending paddy bonus of Rs. 3,716 crore to the farmers. He also shared that the government set a new record by procuring 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy at the rate of Rs. 3,100 per quintal, with a maximum limit of 21 quintals per acre. In addition, the Chief Minister mentioned that the state government has allocated over Rs. 2,000 crore in the state budget for expanding irrigation facilities, which will significantly increase farmers' incomes. The state government is also focused on restoring old irrigation projects to further enhance agricultural productivity.

Shri Dinesh Kulkarni, leader of the All India Kisan Union, provided insights into cow-based natural farming, stressing the growing importance of organic and natural farming methods. He pointed out the need to actively promote natural farming to meet the current demand. He also referenced the Gita, noting that cow-based farming is rooted in ancient teachings, and Lord Shri Krishna himself engaged in cow rearing to inspire others.

Agriculture Development and Farmer Welfare Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam remarked that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the past decade has seen a remarkable transformation in the agriculture sector. Both the central and state governments have placed a strong focus on farmer welfare and introduced policies that have economically empowered farmers. Shri Netam underscored the importance of adopting cow-based organic and natural farming to further strengthen farmers' financial conditions, noting that under Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's leadership, farmers in the state have been empowered and now view farming as a business.

Member of Parliament Shri Brijmohan Agrawal highlighted that Lord Shri Balram Ji's birth anniversary serves as a reminder of his contribution to agriculture. He added that promoting organic and natural farming aligns with the true purpose of this celebration. Shri Agrawal emphasised the need for collaboration with agricultural scientists and the adoption of scientific techniques to further enhance cow-based natural farming. Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Dr. Girish Chande, delivered the welcome address. Target to transform 10 lakh illiterates to literates in Chhattisgarh

One lakh Ullas Literacy Centers started in state

One lakh selected volunteer teachers will teach targeted beneficiaries.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai virtually inaugurated one lakh Ullas Literacy Centers at the state level Ullas Fair organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital city on the occasion of International Literacy Day.

Target to transform 10 lakh illiterates to literates in Chhattisgarh

As per information, one lakh volunteer teachers have been selected by the State Literacy Mission of the Education Department to run these literacy centers. The responsibility of the volunteer teachers is to make 10 illiterates literate by introducing them to recognize alphabets in order to develop their reading and comprehending skill.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated the state-wide Ullas Literacy Campaign by garlanding the statue of Maa Saraswati and lighting a lamp. He released the Ullas poster, Ullas song, newsletter and brochure related to the campaign. During this, a documentary film based on the Ullas program was also screened. The exhibition has been organized by SCERT along with its additional 5 divisions.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that education is the ‘basic Mantra’ of development. “If a person has to develop in any field, then education is very important. It is not merely a means to obtain a degree or a government job rather education is essential for everyone whether pursuing a career in business, social service, or politics, said Shri Sai.

Chief Minister said that our country has been a pioneer in the field of education. The work of National Literacy Mission is commendable going well under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Shri Sai shared his experience and quoted a few examples in which he mentioned the incidents happening with illiterate people. He said that if such innocent people were literate, then they could have avoided such fraud. Therefore, it is very important for all illiterate people to be literate.

Highlighting relevance of education, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that knowledge and education is spread by sharing. Hence, all the illiterate people around us have to be literate and we collectively can achieve this by making literate 10 lakh people and beyond in our state.

Chief Minister Shri Sai glorified efforts of newly literate title achiever Smt Shanti Devi Thakur, a resident of Bagbahara in Mahasamund district. Shanti Devi, who is physically disabled can now write with her feet after becoming literate. Her handwriting is legible and we are very happy to see this.

In compliance with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision the National Education Policy 2020 has been implemented in the entire country. Following Prime Minister’s intention Chhattisgarh government has also implemented the new education policy and around 211 schools of Chhattisgarh are run under PM Shri Yojana.

On this occasion, along with administering the Ullas Literacy Pledge to the people, he called upon all the volunteer teachers and motivators to enable the illiterates by imparting them basics of mathematics calculation and alphabet knowledge.

Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, who was presiding over the program, said that remarkable work is continuously being done in the field of education in the state. He said that the State Literacy Mission is an organization doing good work without budget, which is promoting education for everyone. He said that SCERT has made an action plan to provide primary education in the major dialects of Chhattisgarh so as to enable education among those, who understand different dialects.

Addressing the program, Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal said that the Literacy Mission was stopped for the last 5 years, which has been started again under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi is making many welfare schemes for poor brothers and sisters in all the fields along with education.

School Education Secretary Mr Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi said that under the National Education Policy 2020, a grand Literacy Week was organized in the country and the state from 1 to 8 September to promote the Ullas Nav Bharat Literacy Program. During this, various programs focused on education and literacy were organized in all the districts, blocks, urban areas and Gram Panchayats of Chhattisgarh as well as educational institutions.

In the program, newly literates including Mrs Mohini Patel of Durg district, Mrs Shanti Bai Thakur of Mahasamund district, Mrs Meena Nareti of Kanker, Mrs Sheetal Dhiwar of Bilaspur district, Mrs Sumita Singh of Balrampur district were honored. Similarly, among the volunteer teachers, Mrs Karishma Patel of Rajnandgaon, Kumari Shanti Nag of Sukma, Kumari Shruti Tiwari of Surguja, Mr Harsh Sahu of Bilaspur, Mrs Nirjala Dhiwar of Raipur were honored. Raipur : Commerce and Industries Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan participated in the 'Udyog Samagam' conference held in New Delhi today. The event was organized under the chairmanship of Union Commerce and Industry Minister S Piyush Goyal. Industry Ministers and representatives from all the states participated in the conference, along with industrialists, entrepreneurs and investors from across the country. In this conference, key issues related to trade, industry and economic development were discussed in detail.

Assembly Speaker attends the Mukhyamantri Shiksha Gaurav Alankaran Samaroh

A total 30 teachers of the district were honored with Gyandeep Award and Shikshadoot Award

Raipur : On the occasion of 'Shikshak Diwas', the birthday of India's second President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh attended as a chief guest in the Mukhyamantri Shiksha Gaurav Alankaran Samaroh organized at Padmashree Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium Rajnandgaon on Thursday.

The program was presided over by MP Shri Santosh Pandey. Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh said in his address that the special day of September 5th is celebrated as Teachers' Day in the memory of former President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who contributed to educational institutions both as a teacher and an administrator. He prioritized the acquisition of technical knowledge and skills and encouraged inclusion of women education.

Hence, attributing to his contribution his birthday is being celebrated as Teachers' Day.

Emphasizing the relevance of education, Dr Singh said the lamp of education dispels the darkness of ignorance and the teachers, whom we consider as our idols, guide us in bringing about change in every era. Lord Rama received his education in the ashram of Guru Vashishtha, Lord Krishna gave the world the knowledge of Gita. He too received his education in the ashram of Rishi Sandipani. Teachers are the ones who shape the course of each era. Chanakya changed the map of India by educating Chandragupta Maurya. Guru Dronacharya imparted archery skill to Arjuna which turned out to be an epic lesson till today for determination and single minded focus. Swami Vivekananda's guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramhans brought about important changes in his life.

If we look at Chhattisgarh, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla gave his invaluable services as a teacher. There has been a glorious tradition of Guru in Rajnandgaon. The great litterateurs of the district Dr Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi, Dr Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh, Dr Baldev Prasad Mishra have been witnesses in Digvijay Mahavidyalaya and have progressed as the best litterateurs. There are so many examples of teachers, who have played a role in bringing about a change in the era in the country and have given a message for education and knowledge to the world.

Administrative approval received for construction of roads in Jashpur and Pathalgaon area

Raipur : In order to build robust infrastructure in the state and fulfill chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s vision to improve road connectivity, state government is continuously issuing approval for constructions of roads, bridges and related infrastructures.

In this regard, Public Works Department approved the road constructions projects of around Rs 17 crore in Jashpur district. A fund of Rs 3.39 crore has been approved for the construction of 2.36 km of road in Chandidand Hatta Halkatoli in Jashpur area.

Similarly, administrative approval of around Rs 7.98 crore has been given for work of Bagiya-Sujibahar road of 8.70 km in Pathalgaon area. While Rs 4.3 crore has been approved for road construction work for 4 km of patch from Babusabhar to Golidih river and Rs 3.36 crore for village Karanjatoli Rajouti road of 1.20 km in Kansabel development block.

In order to boost local economy state government emphasizes on improved infrastructure, such as well-maintained roads connecting villages to main routes.

In just past 9 months since Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo's government came into power, the state government has developed a comprehensive development blueprint for the district and initiated its implementation. Priority projects include constructing school and hostel buildings, developing anicut irrigation systems, undertaking diversion, renovation, and lining work, building reservoirs and ponds, repairing main and branch canals, improving old concrete structures, constructing roads and hospitals, and appointing doctors and other staff.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the Bilaspur District Bar Association on September 4. He administered the oath to the newly elected members and announced the construction of a new community hall within the district court premises, a long-standing demand of the Bar Association. President of the District Bar Association, Shri Dauram Chandrawanshi, presided over the ceremony. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao was also present as a distinguished guest.

70 lakh women receive Rs 1,000 each

Raipur : In celebration of Teeja, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has presented a substantial gift of Rs 1,000 to 70 lakh women in the state. This seventh installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana was transferred directly to their accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) during the 'Teeja-Pora Mahtari Vandan Tihar' event organized at his residence today. The women’s faces lit up with joy as they expressed their gratitude to their 'Vishnu Bhaiya.'

The Mahtari Vandan Yojana was introduced to boost economic self-reliance among women, improve their health and nutrition levels, and enhance their role in the family. It also aims to address societal discrimination and inequality, raise awareness, and promote economic empowerment. The scheme provides Rs 1,000 per month to married, widowed, abandoned, and divorced women over the age of 21.

Launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on March 10, 2024, the scheme's first installment was released by him. To date, over 70 lakh women have been selected as beneficiaries in the initial phase, with seven installments having been successfully transferred to their bank accounts.

Inaugurates program by flagging off renowned bull race

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended as a chief guest in Pola Mahotsav organized at Madiapar village of Durg district on Monday. He inaugurated the program by flagging off the bull race. The event was organized under the joint aegis of Chhattisgarh Culture Department, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Shastri Nav Yuvak Mandal Madiapar. The festival showcased the confluence of ancient culture and traditional sports of Chhattisgarh.

Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the villagers on Pola festival. “I have heard a lot about the bull race of Madiapar and fortunately got the opportunity to see it as well,” said Shri Sai. Pola festival is one of the biggest festival of farmers related to agriculture and farming. It denotes the significance of farming and livestock in our life, he added. On this day, Nadia bull and Jata Pora are worshipped with enthusiasm in homes and prayers are offered for a good harvest and wealth in the house. This is a festival linked to the depths of Chhattisgarh's tradition, culture and folk life. Keeping in mind the interests of the farmers, the Central and State Governments have implemented numerous schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that on the occasion of Teeja-Pora festival, the amount of the seventh installment under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has been transferred to bank accounts of 70 lakh women of the state. He said that the government is constantly trying to double the income of farmers. He said that fulfilling the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Rs 3716 crore has been paid to 13 lakh farmers in the state as bonus for two years of paddy. Along with this, 21 quintals of paddy has been purchased from farmers per acre. Similarly, the remuneration for collection of Tendu leaves has been increased from Rs 4000 to Rs 5500 per standard sack.

Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized on organizing tradition related events at other places in the state for the protection and preservation of traditional festivals.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced construction of dome at the Pola Mahotsav venue, community hall at Madiyapar, issuance of Rs 5 lakh annually for organizing Pola Mahotsav and opening of District Cooperative Bank branch in village Litiya.

MP Shri Vijay Baghel, while addressing the program, said that Madiapar gained recognition in the state due to Pola Mahotsav. He said that many festivals are being celebrated in Chhattisgarh and these festivals have increased peace, harmony and goodwill in the state. The program was also addressed by Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singh Deo, regional MLA Shri Ishwar Sahu. The aim of Suposhan Rath is to rise awareness about the importance of intake of balanced nutrition in food. The state government is observing Poshan Maah- Nutrition month from September 1st to September 30th.

The dedicated vehicle equipped with audio and visual features will travel to various villages of the state to promote the message of nutrition to the people.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Shri Kiran Dev, MLAs Shri Rajesh Munat, Anuj Sharma, Khuswant Saheb, Women and Child Development Secretary Smt. Shammi Abidi, Director Tulika Prajapati and a large number of public representatives and women were present.

As per the information, the Suposhan Rath will be on move across the of state displaying the message on electronic screen with visuals and audio effect.

The aim of Chhattisgarh government for rolling out a dedicated vehicle is to address serious health challenges including malnutrition and anemia. Health and nutrition related services are being provided to pregnant women, lactating women, children between 0 to 06 years and adolescent girls through more than 52000 Anganwadi centers. Positive behavior change from community, family and individual level is also very important to achieve the goal of nutrition, said health officials.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattsigrh government is determined to achieve the vision of a healthy and well-nourished Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Poshan Maah is being organized from 01 September to 30 September 2024 for widespread dissemination of messages related to health, nutrition and hygiene to the public, compelling various components of the community to participate in the journey of nutrition as a mass movement. Chief Minister said that during the Poshan Maah this year, focus is being laid on anemia issue, supplementary nutrition, education on balanced nutrition as well as use of technology for quality service delivery and holistic nutrition.

Chief Minister Shri Sai has urged the state's people's representatives, Panchayati Raj Institutions, women's self-help groups, intellectuals, students, public and private sector representatives, and the entire community to actively engage in Poshan Maah with enthusiasm and energy. He encouraged everyone to commit to making Chhattisgarh free of malnutrition and anemia, to adopt proper nutritional practices, and to inspire others to do the same.

The Chief Minister emphasized that through collective efforts, we can build a strong foundation for a healthier Chhattisgarh, enhancing the future and well-being of our state.

Raipur : The Chakradhar Festiva’s stage is renowned in the world of arts. After an extended pause due to COVID-19, the Chakradhar Samaroh is poised to make a grand return with its original magnificence and splendour. The 10 days mega event will be organised from September 7th to 16th in Raigarh.

Renowned artists will arrive in Raigarh to showcase their talents for the 10 days mega event. This year's event will be special as seven artists honoured with the Padma Shri will grace the Chakradhar Samaroh.

Padma Shri Hema Malini

Indian cinema’s veteran actress Hema Malini is also renowned for her Bharatanatyam dance performances. She is renowned for her significant contributions to promote Indian art and culture. Her proficiency and expertise are exceptional in Bharatanatyam, an ancient classical dance style. The features of her dance are evident in her excellent technique, expression, and stage presence. She has not only presented her art through films but has also popularized classical dance both within India and abroad. Her performances, which beautifully depict Indian mythologies and religious tales, captivate audiences with various dance postures and emotions. Her dedication to dance and art has secured her a significant place in both the cinematic and classical dance worlds. She was honoured with the Padma Shri in the year 2000.

Padma Shri Pandit Ramlal Bareth-

Pandit Ramlal Bareth dedicated his life for developing and establishing the Raigarh Kathak style as a recognized Gharana (school) of Kathak. His tireless efforts made the Raigarh Kathak style renowned as the Raigarh Gharana, which is recognized worldwide as the fourth Kathak gharana. Pandit Ramlal was awarded with the National Academy of Music, Dance, and Drama Award by the President of India, Shankar Dayal Sharma, in 1996. He received the Padma Shri in 2024.

Padma Shri Kumari Devyani- Also known by her stage name Kumari Devyani, Anik Shemoti is an Indian dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam. She has performed at festivals and music halls across India as well as in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Scandinavian countries, Estonia, and South Korea. Devyani is listed as an artist by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). She was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2009.

Padma Shri Bharti Bandhu- Bharti Bandhu is an Indian musician and singer known for her popular Kabir bhajans. Born in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, he has given thousands of performances across the country and abroad. He is an icon in the field of Sufi singing and has been recognized for his significant contributions to music with state honours and the Raja Chakradhar Award. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2013.

Padma Shri Anuj Sharma- Anuj Sharma is a distinguished personality in Chhattisgarhi cinema and arts, known for his talent in direction, acting, and singing. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014 for his services to the arts.

Padma Shri Surendra Dubey- Surendra Dubey is famous nationwide and internationally for his humorous poetry. Professional he is an Ayurvedic doctor. He has promoted the regional dialect and culture of the state on various national and international platforms. He was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2010.

Padma Shri Ranjana Gauhar- Ranjana Gauhar is a renowned Odissi dancer, choreographer, and film producer. She has been awarded the Padma Shri and by the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. She has also authored a book on Odissi dance titled 'Odissi The Dance Divine'. Mrs Ranjana Gauhar was honoured with the Padma Shri by the President of India in 2003 and the National Academy of Music, Dance, and Drama Award in 2007.

Raipur : After the vibrant celebration of ‘Hareli Tihar’, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's residence is now beautifully adorned with clay-made ‘Nandiya Baila’ and colourful toys to celebrate the ‘Teeja-Pora’ festival. Smt. Kaushalya Sai, the Chief Minister's wife, is preparing traditional Chhattisgarhi dishes such as Thethri-Khurmi for the occasion. Ahead of the ‘Teeja-Pora’ festival, Chief Minister Shri Sai will distribute Rs. 1000 each to 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.

Just as ‘Hareli Tihar’, the ‘Teeja-Pora’ festival will be celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Chief Minister's residence in Raipur on September 2, starting at 11 am. The residence has been decorated with artefacts resembling Chhattisgarh's rich traditions and customs. During this celebration, ‘Nandiya-Baila’ will be worshipped, and a special Teeja festival will be held. The Chief Minister has invited sisters, transforming his residence into a maternal home for a day.

Chief Minister Shri sai invited 3000 women, including beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, members of self-help groups, and Mitanins. Exhibitions and stalls will be set up to inform women about various welfare programs and schemes available for their benefit.

The Department of Culture will organise a cultural program to highlight ongoing schemes and initiatives for women's welfare. Additionally, sports events for women will be conducted in collaboration with the Sports Department.

As part of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024, participating women will take an oath during the event. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will also unveil posters related to nutrition and health and will flag off the ‘Suposhan Rath,’ marking its launch across the state.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai was formally invited to the 39th Chakradhar Festival today by Raigarh Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal and Superintendent of Police Shri Divyang Patel during a courtesy call at his residence in Raipur. The Chief Minister graciously accepted the invitation and extended his best wishes for the success of the event.

On the occasion, Chief Minister said that "Chakradhar Samaroh" is a significant part of Raigarh’s cultural identity. He said that performances by internationally and nationally acclaimed artists further elevate the prestige of Chakradhar Samaroh. Shri Sai, who has previously served as a Member of Parliament representing Raigarh, shared his deep personal connection to the event, saying that he has closely observed the growth of Raigarh district over the years.

He further emphasized that Maharaja Chakradhar has bestowed an invaluable cultural legacy upon Raigarh, which continues to flourish. The popularity of Chakradhar Samaroh is evident from the anticipation and enthusiasm among artists and art enthusiasts regarding the event. Chief Minister Shri Sai also emphasized the importance of prominently featuring local folk artists in the festival.

Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal provided the Chief Minister with key details about the upcoming event. He informed that this year's ten-day Chakradhar Samaroh will showcase performances by prominent artists, and will also provide a platform for local folk artists to display their talents.

It is noteworthy that the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh will be held from 7th to 16th September 2024 at Ramleela Ground, Raigarh district headquarters. The inaugural ceremony will feature a dance-drama titled 'Radha Rasbihari' performed by Padma Shri Hema Malini, while the concluding ceremony will include a poetry recitation by Dr. Kumar Vishwas. During the festival, cultural evenings will be held daily from 6 PM onwards, featuring performances in various art forms by distinguished artists.

Raipur : A delegation of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Kanyakubja Brahmin Mahasabha paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence office. The delegation expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for the state government's efforts towards inclusive development, which have benefitted all the communities in the state. They greeted Chief Minister Shri Sai with a shawl, a coconut, and a memento.

The delegation conveyed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the state has witnessed a government of good governance, providing opportunities to progress for every section of society. They acknowledged that the welfare schemes initiated by the government has brought a positive shift for every community in the state. The delegation highlighted that with the formation of new government, several decisions have been taken in the interest of farmers, women, youth, tribals, as well as the poor and weaker sections.

It is noteworthy that on the second day of the government's formation, a decision was made to immediately approve Pradhan Mantri Awas to 18 lakh families in need. Additionally, the government has disbursed two years' worth of pending paddy bonuses to farmers, and more than 70 lakh women have been benefitted under Mahatari Vandan Yojana.

A total prize money of Rs 76 lakh was distributed among 97 awardees for the award years 2021-22 and 2022-23. Besides, Rs 60.33 lakh was transferred to the bank accounts of 502 medal-winning players, totaling Rs 1 crore 36 lakh 33 thousand in disbursements.

For the year 2021-22, awards were presented as follows: 06 players received the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 06 players received the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 02 players received the Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 11 players were honored with the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, 05 players received the Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman and 11 players were awarded the Chief Minister Trophy.

For the year 2022-23, awards were given as follows: 04 players received the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 07 players received the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 01 player received the Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 15 players were honored with the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, 05 players received the Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman, and 24 players were awarded the Chief Minister Trophy.

The ceremony took place at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the under-construction 'Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Adivasi Swatantrata Senani Sangrahalaya' near the Tribal Research and Training Institute in Nava Raipur on August 29. This museum, dedicated to Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom fighters, is being developed on approximately 10 acres of land at an estimated cost of Rs. 45 crore. Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam was also present. During the visit, Shri Sai inspected the statues, artworks, and various models in the museum. He interacted with the sculptors, discussing their techniques, and expressed that the Tribal Museum will become a significant centre highlighting Chhattisgarh's tribal pride. He praised the museum as a unique initiative to preserve the state's rich heritage, focussing on the patriotism, bravery, and sacrifices of Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom fighters.

The Chief Minister directed departmental officials and construction agency representatives to complete the museum work within the stipulated time frame without compromising on quality. He stressed the importance of the museum in educating the younger generation and future generations about their history. Shri Sai also mentioned that the museum would be a focal point for those interested in understanding tribal culture and civilisation. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about all of Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom fighters, including Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, the state's first freedom fighter.

The Principal Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Shri Sonmani Borah, informed that the 'Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Adivasi Swatantrata Senani Sangrahalaya' will feature 15 galleries. These galleries will vividly depict major tribal freedom struggles through live models, including the Halba Rebellion, Surguja Rebellion, Bhopal-Pattnam Rebellion, Paralkot Rebellion, Lingagiri Rebellion, Koi Rebellion, Maria Rebellion, Muria Rebellion, Rani Choris Rebellion, Bhumkal Rebellion, Sonakhan Rebellion, Jhanda Satyagraha, and Jungle Satyagraha. Additionally, the museum will authentically showcase the lifestyle, attire, jewellery, music, instruments, hunting weapons, and daily-use items of Chhattisgarh's tribal communities.

The museum complex will also include a fibre statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, his memorial, the site of his hanging, a small lake, and landscaped gardens. Statues of other brave tribal freedom fighters will be installed throughout the museum. The facility will offer amenities such as a reception area, souvenir shop, food court, multimedia room, restrooms, and parking. A solar energy system will be installed on the roof, and the main entrance will be adorned with intricate tribal artwork. A team of sculptors from Vadodara, Kolkata, Odisha, Hyderabad, Delhi, Jharkhand, and Bihar, under the leadership of curator Shri Prabal Ghosh, are crafting the statues and tribal artefacts for the museum. During his visit, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also inspected the library and models of significant events in Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom struggle at the Tribal Research and Training Institute. During the library visit, Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam scanned a QR code in the book ‘Adi Naad’, dedicated to Chhattisgarh's tribal folk music culture, which played the sound of the instrument when scanned.

Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Rahul Bhagat, Commissioner of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Shri Narendra Kumar Dugga, and Director of Tribal Research and Training Institute, Shri P.S. Elma, were also present.
