Chief Minister Mr. Baghel unveils the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari at the Collectorate

Jagdalpur, / Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel unveiled the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari in the premises of the Collectorate office in Jagdalpur. He adorned the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari with a garland and paid reverence to her. This district office holds the distinction of being the first in the division to house the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari.

After the unveiling ceremony, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel stated that Chhattisgarh Mahtari represents the identity, self-respect, and pride of Chhattisgarh. He emphasized that installing the statues of Chhattisgarh Mahtari in all districts will help people learn about the state's culture. It is our mission to provide future generations with ample opportunities to understand and appreciate our local festivals and folk traditions. He further highlighted that the government is working diligently to promote the state's culture. Traditional festivals such as Teeja-Pora, Akti, Hareli, and Chher-Chhera are organized on a large scale. Today, Bore-Basi is renowned throughout the nation, and initiatives like the Tribal Dance Festival, Rejuvenation of Devgudi, and Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi have brought honour to the tribal communities.

Shafira Sahu, Chairperson of Municipal Corporation Mrs. Kavita Sahu, Vice-Chairman of Indravati Basin Development Authority Mr. Rajeev Sharma, Chairman of Renewable Energy Authority Mr. Mithilesh Swarnakar, Commissioner Mr. Shyam Dhawde, IG Mr. Sundarraj P., Collector Mr. Vijay Dayaram K, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Jitendra Meena and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
