 Announcements by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel in Kurud Assembly Constituency’s Semra-B during the Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan:

1. Widening and strengthening of Kurud, Charra, Katalbod, Navagaon road will be carried out.

2. Widening and strengthening of Gadadih, Parakhanda, Gudguda, Nari road will be done.

3. Widening and strengthening of Kurmatarai, Bhandra, Korra Jugdehi, Silauti, Semra, Arkar road will be done.

4. Vertinary medical in Gram Panchayat Semra B will be upgraded to Vertiniary hospital. 

5. Various developmental works will be carried out in Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium School situated in Bhakhara.

6. Muktidham will be constructed in Siri and Korra village that comes under Gram Panchayat Gatapara. 

7. Boys primary school in Gram Panchayat Bhendri will be renamed after Freedom fighter Lt. Shivprasad Sahu. 

8. A Shed and manure godown will be constructed in paddy procurement center of Gram Panchayat Semra B.

9. A building will be constructed for the  District Cooperative Bank in Korra village.

Government schemes brought economic prosperity, says the farmers

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Friday visited Kurud assembly constituency, as a part of his 'Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan', to meet with rural populations of Semra village and assess the implementation of government schemes on the ground. He also inaugurated and performed Bhoomipujan of development projects worth Rs 82.39 crores. This includes the inauguration of 31 works costing Rs 45.27 crores and Bhoomipujan of 34 projects amounting to Rs 37 crores.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister stated that his government is working for the benefit of laborers and providing financial assistance to landless laborers. He also announced that a conference for laborers would be held in Raipur on the occasion of May Day. In his address to the laborers, he emphasized that they are the backbone of the state, and their interests will always be protected.

The event was attended by Women and Child Development and District Incharge Minister Smt. Anila Bhediya, Sihawa MLA Dr. Lakshmi Dhruv, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Renu G Pillay, Chief Minister's Secretary Dr S. Bharatidasan, Divisional Commissioner Shri Yashwant Kumar, and SP Shri Prashant Thakur, along with other dignitaries and officers.

Chief Minister interacts with farmers, emphasizes on the importance of organic farming

Chief Minister commenced his programme by speaking with the farmers. A farmer from Bhakhara stated that they have achieved good results with vermicompost, and have not had any crop diseases, which has resulted in significant cost savings. In addition, a loan of Rs 3 lakh has been waived, and the government's announcement to purchase 20 quintals of paddy per acre at a support price is expected to be a great benefit to the farmers. Govind Ram Sahu shared that he has received the entire installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and that he has one-acre land and his debt has been waived under the loan waiver scheme. When the topic of vermicompost was brought up, Basanti Sahu shared that their group produces vermicompost and that it has been selling well. Their group has already produced vermicompost worth Rs 77,000. Chief Minister emphasized the importance of using organic fertilizer to improve land fertility.

Mobile Medical Unit brings medical services to Haat Bazaar

When the Chief Minister asked about the mobile medical unit operating in Haat Bazaar, Amrit Lal Sahu from Bhendarwani replied that it is a very good scheme. He explained that under this scheme, they don't have to travel to a hospital since medical services are brought to their doorstep. When they go to Haat Bazaar, they receive free treatment and medication. Rajeshwari also shared that her 3-year-old son was weak before, but he has become completely healthy and fit thanks to the 'Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan'.

Chief Minister lauds farmer's efforts to educate daughter

Priyanshu Das Manikpur, a student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School, shared with the Chief Minister that they have good and well-qualified teachers in the school, adding that his father is also a teacher in a government school. The education here is excellent. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister.

Sanya Gaikwad, a Commerce student studying at Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Kurud, mentioned that her father is a farmer. The Chief Minister acknowledged her father's efforts in ensuring her education. Sanya added that previously she had to pay hefty fees of Rs 30,000 and bear the total cost of up to Rs 50,000 adding bus fare. However, now she can use the saved money for higher education.

Important Announcements Chief Minister made several significant announcements related to development works in Semara B. These included plans to widen and strengthen the Kurud-Charra-Katlabod-Navagaon road, the Gadhadih-Parakhanda-Gudguda Nari road, as well as the Kurmatarai, Bhendra, Korra Jugdehi, Silauti, Semra, Arakar road.

In addition, Chief Minister announced the upgradation of veterinary medical in Semra B to veterinary hospital, various construction works at the Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Bhakhara Nagar Panchayat, the construction of Muktidham in Sirri and Korra under the Gram Panchayat Gatapar, renaming of Boys primary school in Bhendari under the Gram Panchayat in honor of freedom fighter late Shivprasad Sahu (teacher), and the construction of a shed and fertilizer godown at the Semra paddy procurement center in Semra Gram Panchayat. Lastly, the Chief Minister also announced plans for the construction of a building for the District Cooperative Bank in Korra Village.
