The Chief Minister asked her how much money she needed. Dhaneshwari replied that she’ll accept any amount that she is given. The Chief Minister said that they will provide her an amount of Rs. 1 lakh. Dhaneshwari requested him to give her Rs. 2 lakh. The Chief Minister said that they will provide her with Rs. 1.5 lakh now and the rest of the money will be given to her after she meets him during the final year of college.

Because of the sports organized under Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s initiative of the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics, Mrs. Triveni Thakur of village Singapur was reminded of her childhood. She secured the first position in Fugdi and Billas from Panchayat to zone level and has now reached the district level.

Mrs. Thakur said that when she came to know that games like Fugdi and Billas are being played in the village, she was reminded of her childhood and came here to participate. She said that she didn’t expect to secure the first position. She has regained her enthusiasm through these old games. Seeing children, youngsters, senior people, and women play the games is adding vibrancy to the village. Everyone is displaying their talent in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics. She expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel for recreating her childhood days.

Mukhyamantri Dai Didi Clinic Yojana': More than 1.27 women got free treatment

More than 1,709 camps have been organized under the Mukhyamantri Dai Didi Clinic--a one of its kind scheme in the country that aims to provide free medical facilities to women and adolescent girls through mobile medical clinics with all women staff. Nearly 1.28 lakh women and adolescent girls residing in the slums of Raipur, Bilaspur and Bhilai municipal corporation areas have got free treatment facilities near their homes under this scheme.

Meanwhile, the scheme is being operated by the Urban Administration and Development department of the state government. Free-of-cost treatment facilities for various diseases are provided to needy women and adolescent girls through well-equipped mobile medical units with an all-women staff. Lab tests of about 22,831 women have been conducted and free-of-cost medicines have been distributed to over 1.22 lakh women through the dedicated mobile medical units. The scheme has been proven beneficial for the women indulged in labour work who can't visit hospitals due to time and money constraints.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today,has taken another citizen friendly initiative in the direction of public service through Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club in the Bhent Mulaqat program of Arjuni village in Dongargaon development block of Rajnandgaon district. A mobile public service vehicle will be run to provide health services to the villagers and common citizens. In this mobile unit, services like eye check-up and blood donation will be provided by the members of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club by organizing camps in the villages and other places. Under this, Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club has been provided with a mobile public service vehicle by the state government In which work will be done to collect blood for blood donation and eye check up camps will be organised. For eye examination, the vehicle has manual lens examination as well as state-of-the-art machines like autoref and slit lamp, which will also provide computerized eye checkup and internal eye examination. Along with this, Remi Company's blood storage is also available in the unit, in which blood will be collected after screening the blood donor and stored in this storage and then sent to the blood banks.

The Chief Minister further pointed out and said that “private schools charge exorbitant fees and not everyone can afford private schools, education is a necessity that should not be dependent on anyone’s financial condition, so to provide strong educational foundation for tomorrow’s youth Swami Atmanand Schools are being run by the state government which has solved the worry of paying fees for quality English education.

The Chief Minister asked the children how much fees they used to pay in private schools earlier. On this, Sahil Sahu told that during his studies in private school, 15 thousand rupees had to be paid in every three months. Mahi Pandey said that she had to pay 20 thousand rupees as annual school fees. Due to this the family members had to face huge financial burden. Now studying in Swami Atmanand School, they do not have to pay fees which have resulted in higher savings of numerous families. The Chief Minister also asked the children about the facilities available in Swami Atmanand School. On which the children responded in English and informed him about the modern lab, library, efficient teachers, clean toilets, and playgrounds available in the school. On this, the Chief Minister praised the students for their intelligence.

Director of Public Instruction Department issues an order to suspend the former principal of Government Higher Secondary School Semra

Following the instructions of Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel, the Director of the Public Instruction Department has issued an order to suspend the Principal cum lecturer-in-charge Mr.Lokpal Singh of Government Higher Secondary School of Semra in Janjgir-Champa district. During the Bhent-Mulaqat in Nawagarh block of Janjgir-Champa district, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel reached Semra village today. There he interacted with the students and received a complaint against the then-in-charge Principal, Mr. Lokpal Singh. Students told him that he was not interested in listening to them and did not resolve the problems faced by students. The students had to go on strike to implement the state government's order for waiving off school fees during Covid. Taking this complaint seriously, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel directed the officials to suspend Mr.Lokpal Singh.

In an order issued by the Director of the Public Instruction Department, it has been mentioned that the District Education Officer of Janjgir-Champa had received a complaint against the Principal-in-charge of the Government Higher Secondary School Semra for not returning the fees taken from the students of this school in the past. In an order issued on January 12 2021, he was transferred to the Government Higher Secondary School at Dhurkot and ordered to continue teaching there. He did not hand over the charge of his post till November 10, 2022, and did not join the Government Higher Secondary School at Dhurkot. He remained in the former school in contempt of the order issued to him. The District Education Officer of Janjgir-Champa on November 10, 2022, conducted an investigation against the charges received by him and found them true.

It has been mentioned in the suspension order issued by the Director of the Public Instruction Department that due to the above act of Mr.Lokpal Singh being contrary to the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules 1965, he is suspended with immediate effect under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1966. During the suspension period, he has been attached to the office of the District Education Officer, Janjgir-Champa. During the suspension period, he will be eligible for subsistence allowance as per the rules.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Friday reached Semra village of Janjgir-Champa assembly constituency as a part of his mammoth public interaction drive 'Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan'. He commenced his programme by garlanding the portrait of 'Chhattisgarh Mahtari' and lighting the lamp.

During his interaction with the farmers, the Chief Minister said "paddy harvesting has started across the state. Good monsoon this year has resulted in good yield. Keeping in view the convenience of the farmers, paddy procurement has also started from November 1. Farmers have started selling paddy by getting tokens as per their convenience."

Pointing out the benefits of donating paddy stubble, Shri Baghel appealed to the farmers to donate the same as fooder to the state-run Gauthans. This will curb pollution due to stubble burning and will help in increasing the availability of fodder for the cattle. He also urged farmers not to burn the leftover paddy stubble after harvesting.

"Keeping in view the interest of the farmers, the amount of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, and Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana have been distributed ahead of Diwali. This has brought smiles to the faces of farmers and labourers. Market activities picked up during the festive season", he said.

On the demand of the villagers, the Chief Minister announced the opening of a co-operative bank in village Dhurkot, renaming of the new government college of Nawagarh after Lingeshwar Mahadev, the renovation of the Lingeshwar temple, the opening of Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Nawagarh and renaming Government High School Budhena after Ayurveda Ratna Dr. Gulab Singh. Similarly, he also announced the construction of a shed and raised platform in the village Semra weekly market, an additional building, and a toilet in high school Kutra, the construction of a CC road in village Aurai, CC road till Muktidham in village Salkhan and establishment of a playground in Nagar Panchayat Nawagarh.

"Earlier I used to move away to Jammu for earning a livelihood. However, as the financial condition of the family improved due to the loan waiver and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, I have stopped moving out for work for the last two years. Now, I am practicing farming in my home village only", said Shri Bharat Patel, a resident of Amora Gram Panchayat. He added that his loan of Rs 10,000 has been waived off and a bonus of Rs 19,000 has been received. Besides, he has got a profit of Rs 20,000 by selling cow dung under Godhan Nyay Yojana. "I have got my house repaired with the money received under various schemes of the state government. My son is doing an ITI course", he said.

Tanya Keshri, a student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School Pamgarh won praise from Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel for her fluency in English. Tanya had a conversation with Chief Minister in English and said with the opening of government English medium schools they are able to get their education in English medium without worrying about the hefty school fees.

Expressing his happiness Chief Minister said "It gives me immense happiness to see students of rural areas speak English fluently. To keep children connected to their roots, education will be imparted in Chhattisgarhi and Sanskrit language once a week."

On the complaint of a girl student, the Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to suspend the previously posted principal and transfer the clerk of the Semra High School. The girl complained that the then-principal did not listen to the problems of the students. They even had to go on strike regarding the school fee waiver issue during the Covid-19 pandemic. The teachers here had to do administrative tasks due to the negligence of the school clerk at work.

Youth Festival 2022-23 will be organized to connect youth with cultural activities

Youth Festival 2022-23 is being organized with the aim to connect the youth of the state with cultural activities and hone their talent and skills. Youth festival will be organized at the block, district, division, and state level. The Youth Festival at the development block level will end on 15 November 2022, at the district level will be organized from 16 November to 10 December, at the divisional level will be organized from 11 December to 31 December 2022 and at the state level will be organized from 12 to 14 January 2023. Youth Festival will be organized in two age groups from 15 to 40 years and above 40 years of age.

The Youth Festival is being organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. According to the guidelines issued by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, there will be competitions in 18 disciplines in the youth category. These include folk dance, folk songs, solo drama (Hindi, English, Chhattisgarhi language), classical singing-Hindustani style, classical singing-Carnatic style, sitar playing (classical playing), flute playing (classical playing), tabla playing (classical playing), veena playing (Classical Instrumental), Mridgam Playing (Classical Instrumental), Harmonium playing(light classical playing), Guitar playing (Indian and Western Music), Manipuri (Classical Dance), Odissi (Classical Dance), Bharatanatyam (Classical Dance), Kathak (Classical dance), Kuchipudi (classical dance).

Along with the above-mentioned classical styles, traditional folk dances and other activities that outline the rich culture of Chhattisgarh will also be involved in the Youth Festival. These include Sua, Panthi, Karma Nacha, Sarhul Nacha, Bastariha folk dance, Raut Nacha, Fugdi, Bhora, Gedi race, Rock Band (will be included directly at the state level), Traditional Costumes Competition, Food Festival- competition based on Chhattisgarhi Cuisine, painting competition - based on the depiction of folk culture of Chhattisgarh, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, wrestling. The folk literature of the state has also been included as announced by Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel.

Chhattisgarh is a state of diverse culture and dialects, if artists wish to perform any local folk art (like paintings, handicrafts, Mural painting, and others), or to perform in any folk literature (based on Gondi, Halbi, Kuduk, etc) and if they represent the culture of Chhattisgarh, all of them will be included at the district level. In the intellectual category, there will be debates (extempore and current affairs), quiz, and essay competitions.

On the initiative of Health Minister Mr. T.S. Singhdeo, operation of the five-year-old Sanskardeep of Pasid village of Bilha block in Bilaspur district, suffering from a serious heart disease, has been successfully done at Apollo Hospital of Chennai. Sanskardeep was kept under observation for three days in CICU after the operation on November 5. The doctors have shifted her to the general ward today. Health Minister Mr. Singhdeo spoke to Sanskardeep's father Mr. Sanskar Dau on phone today and inquired about the improvement in her health.Under Chirayu Yojana of National Child Health Program, Sanskardeep was taken to Chennai for treatment of a critical heart disease called triscupid atresia. She was admitted to the Pediatric Cardiac Unit of Apollo Hospitals, Chennai on 31 October, where her operation was performed on 5 November. Sanskardeep's condition is stable at present and after being kept in the post-operative CICU (cardiac intensive care unit) for three days, she has been shifted to the general ward today.Sanskardeep's parents have expressed his gratitude to Chhattisgarh Government, Health Department, State Nodal Agency, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bilaspur and Chirayu team of Bilha Community Health Center for providing free treatment facility for their daughter. Chirayu team of Bilha Community Health Center had diagnosed Sanskardeep's illness and sent them to the Higher Referral Center for examination and treatment. In view of her critical condition, Health Department made all the arrangements for Sanskardeep's treatment in Chennai under Chirayu Yojana.

Along with organizing numerous national and international level sports events, a new identity of the traditional sports has also been created through the Chhattisgarhia Olympics in the state. Under the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the direction of Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Umesh Patel, the construction of new sports academies, construction and up-gradation of new sports grounds has been done due to which better facilities are being provided for athletes to grow and to create a better environment for sports.. Recently, international level tournaments of chess and badminton were organized in the capital Raipur ,and the event witnessed the participation of national and international athletes. Players also got a chance to improve their ranking with the event. The athletes were all praises for the arrangements and showed interest about joining the event whenever it is held again. Moreover Chhattisgarh has a diverse variety of traditional sports which people have been playing for years, and to promote and preserve such games,Chhattisgarhia Olympics is being organized in the state. People of all age groups are actively participating in this magnanimous event. Whether children, the elderly, women, everyone gets excited about participating in traditional games present in their folk culture.

Creating better Sports infrastructure

Chhattisgarh Sports Development Authority has been constituted for the efficient operation of sports academies, and proper utilization of sports infrastructure and overall development of athletes and sports infrastructure in the state. Sports academies are being created with the aim of preparing the players for future by giving them modern training through technically sound methods accompanied with modern sports equipment . These academies have state of the art infrastructure, standard sports equipment and better training facilities. Late BR Yadav residential academy for hockey, archery and athletics has been established at Yadav State Sports Training Center, Bahatrai, Bilaspur, which has been recognized by the Sports Authority of India as Khelo India State Center of Excellence. In this academy, a residential hockey academy Is also being run, in which 36 boys and 24 girls, and a total of 60 players are being trained here. Selection trials have been organized for the admission in Archery and Athletic Sports Academy and Residential Girls Kabaddi Academy. Moreover, a Residential Archery Academy has been established in Raipur in collaboration with NMDC Limited. Similarly, there are four non-residential academies operating in the state which are ; non-residential academy archery training sub-centre in Shivtarai Bilaspur, non-residential hockey and archery academy at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium, Raipur, non-residential girls football academy at Swami Vivekananda Stadium Kota, Raipur and non-residential boys' football academy in Raipur's own Swami Vivekananda Stadium Kota. International level tennis stadium and academy is being constructed in Labhandi Raipur for the athletes pursuing tennis. The Chhattisgarh government has set a target to establish sports academies in every district of the state. 07 Laghu Kendras (small centers) are approved under the Khelo India scheme of the Government of India. Approval has been given for hockey in Jashpur, archery in Bijapur, hockey in Rajnandgaon, volleyball in Gariaband, Malkhamb in Narayanpur, football in Surguja and archery in Bilaspur. Local senior players will be appointed as coaches through Khelo India Laghu Kendr. Under the Khelo India scheme of the Government of India, approval has been received for construction of a hockey ground with synthetic turf at Jashpur, multipurpose indoor hall at Ambikapur, synthetic football ground with running track at Jagdalpur Bastar, athletic track with synthetic surface at Mahasamund. Chhattisgarhia Olympics is being organized with the aim of promoting traditional sports in Chhattisgarh. The enthusiasm of the people to participate in traditional sports is evidently visible. women, children and elders are also participating enthusiastically in this Olympics. 14 kinds of sports have been included in Chhattisgarhia Olympics which are: Gilli Danda, Pittul, Sankhali, Langdi race, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Rassakati(tug of war), Bati (Kancha) in team sports and Billas, Fugdi, Gedi race, Bhanwara, 100m singles Running and long jump competitions are also being organized. Level-01 Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club and Level-02 Zone level have been succesfully organized in the Chhattisgarhia Olympics which is being organized in 6 phases and after the level-03 development block and urban cluster level, then district, divisional and state level competitions will be held under the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics.

With International events happening, the state garners recognition and appreciation for the promotion of sports

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister International Grand Master Chess Tournament was organized in the capital Raipur from 19 to 28 September which witnessed the participation of more than 500 chess players from 15 countries and 21 states of India. Grandmasters, International Masters, Women Grandmasters, Women International Masters, FIDE Masters and Elo rated players participated in the tournament. Similarly, for the first time an international Badminton competition was organized in Chhattisgarh. More than 550 players from 12 other countries including Indian states participated in this tournament organized in the name of Chief Minister's India International Badminton Challenge trophy in the capital Raipur. It is worth mentioning that In the 36th National Game held in Gujarat, athletes of Chhattisgarh won 13 medals by showcasing their excellent perfomance in the game by winning 02 gold, 5 silver and 06 silver medals.

At the rally, youth, differently-abled individuals, schoolchildren, third-gender individuals, district administration, and officers-employees of the Chief Electoral Officer's office participated enthusiastically.

Mrs. Shamshad Begum and PWD state icon Mr. Chitrasen Sahu flagged off the cycle rally, along with CEO Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale and former cricketer Mr. Rajesh Chauhan also joined the rally.

To encourage young voters to register as voters, the Chief Electoral Office organized a cycle rally today. Youth, people with disabilities, schoolchildren, people of the third gender, district administration, and officers-employees of the Chief Electoral Officer's office joyfully participated in the rally held this morning on the theme of "Pedal for Participative Elections." The cycle rally, which began at Telibandha Talab, journeyed from Ghadi Chowk to Telibandha Talab and returned. The rally was marked off by renowned social worker Smt. Shamshad Begum, recipient of the Padma Shri award, and renowned mountaineer and PWD State Icon of Chhattisgarh, Shri Chitrasen Sahu. Smt. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, the chief electoral officer, and Shri Rajesh Chauhan, a former international cricketer, also cycled in the rally to encourage voters.

The special brief modification of the voter list started today, with the initial publication of the voter list taking place on January 1, 2023. Between 9 November 2022 and 8 December 2022, young individuals who will have turned 18 on 1 January 2023, 1 April 2023, 1 July 2023, and 1 October 2023 can register to have their names added, the Election Commission of India will issue them Photo Voter ID Cards (EPIC).

The special brief updating of the voter list has started at the national level today. The Election Commission of India debuted it today by holding a cycling rally in Pune, Maharashtra, as well as other awareness programs. Two of the senior members of the Commission are participating in the events held in Pune, including the Chief Election Commissioner, Shri Rajiv Kumar, and the Election Commissioner, Shri Anoop Chandra Pandey.

It is worth noting that Pune is one of the major cities in the country with the lowest voter turnout in general elections. Pune has been selected for the national level launch of a special short revision of electoral rolls to encourage urban and youth voters to get their names added to the voter list, vote, and prepare error-free electoral rolls.

Three Naxalites arrested in Sukma district

Three Naxalites were arrested in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Tuesday.

They were identified as Kadti Durga (27), Madvi Deva (34) and Vetti Soma (40), Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma said.

Kadti and Madvi were militia members.

They were apprehended from the jungles of Gachchanpalli village where a joint team of police and other security forces were on a search operation, the officer said.

The police recovered a tiffin bomb, eight electric detonators and electric wires from them.

They had fired at security personnel on September 29, the officer said.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday attended a programme organized at Khalsa School in Raipur to mark the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion he greeted everyone on the auspicious occasion of the 553rd Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. "Guru Nanak Ji gave the message that the master of the entire universe is one, and all are his servants. Sikhism believes in 'Seva-Bhav' or a sense of service for others", he said. In this programme, he bowed his head in front of Guru Granth Sahib. Besides, the Sikh society honored the Chief Minister by presenting him with a shawl and a 'kirpan'.

He added saying that not just people belonging to the Sikh community in the country and the world, but people from other communities as well also visit the Gurdwara on this auspicious day to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said that the Sikh community has always extended a helping hand to people in need in difficult times. They are known for their selfless service and the best example of this is during the Covid-19 pandemic times. They offered 'langar' to all the people in need besides providing them with other necessary stuff including medicines and oxygen cylinders.

Speaking about the efforts made by the Sikh community in Delhi, the Chief Minister said that the Gurdwara committees gave full cooperation in making available oxygen cylinders to the needy in many parts of the national capital by setting up 'oxygen langars'. Saluting the Sikh's spirit of selfless service, he said that the community has set a great example of selfless service for the rest of the world to follow. Shri Baghel noted that Guru Nanak Dev Ji also visited Chhattisgarh, he traveled from Kabir Chabutra of Amarkantak to Garhphuljhar. On the demand of people belonging to the Sikh community, the state government announced to development of Garhphuljhar as a popular tourist attraction.

The Chief Minister said I also had the privilege of offering flowers at Guru Nanak Dev Ji's feet. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also visited the health camp and released a collection of poems by Ms. Manpreet Kaur. Chhattisgarh Housing Board President and MLA Shri Kuldeep Juneja, Chhattisgarh Minorities Commission Chairman Shri Mahendra Chhabra, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Shri Vikas Upadhyay, Mayor Shri Aijaz Dhebar and representatives of Sikh society were present on the occasion.

Raipur : In a virtual programme held at his residential office, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel gave a bonus payment worth Rs 68 crore 90 lakh to the state's sugarcane promotion scheme farmers.

This amount includes balance bonus amount of Rs 11.99 crore for the year 2020-21 and incentive amount of Rs 56.91 crore for sugarcane crushing year 2021-22.
