Over 69 lakh women receive ₹647 crore under the 19th installment of the scheme

So far, ₹12,376.19 crore directly transferred to beneficiaries, bringing positive change in women’s lives

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today disbursed the 19th installment of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana at a grand programme in Kharsia, Raigarh district. On this occasion, he transferred ₹1,000 each directly into the bank accounts of 69,15,994 women. A total of ₹647.13 crore was credited with a single click.

Speaking at the event, CM Sai described the Mahatari Vandan Yojana as a transformative initiative to improve the standard of living of women and strengthen their self-respect. He expressed confidence that this financial assistance would not only empower women to become self-reliant but also reinforce family income and social security. Engaging with women present at the venue, he assured them that the state government would always stand by their side and continue to take consistent measures to improve their lives.

CM Sai said the scheme was infusing hope, confidence and new inspiration into the lives of Chhattisgarh’s mothers and sisters. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continually work for women’s welfare and the overall progress of society.

He further said that since the scheme was launched on March 1, 2024, nearly 69 lakh eligible women have been receiving monthly financial assistance directly into their bank accounts. With today’s 19th installment, a total of ₹12,376.19 crore has so far been transferred to beneficiaries. Chief Minister Shri Sai added that the scheme was playing a pivotal role in providing social security, fostering self-reliance and boosting women’s confidence.

Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade said the Mahatari Vandan Yojana was bringing new energy, confidence and respect to women across the state. The scheme, she added, was not only positively transforming the lives of women but also strengthening families and driving social change. The state government, she underlined, has announced that women’s development, safety and dignity will remain the highest priority and the scheme will be made even more effective.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary and a large number of dignitaries were present at the event.
