Raipur : Owing to their economic hardships, owning a permanent house was nothing short of a dream for Chanda Bai Kamar, aged 76, and her husband Mangal Singh Kamar, aged 80, residents of the remote forest village of Baldakachhar in Kasdol development block of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. But thanks to the PM Janman Awas Yojana, this elderly couple has a home of their own. The couple, who have faced countless struggles, proudly declare that this government initiative has fulfilled the dream of two generations.

Having spent their entire lives working as labourers, the couple lacked the means to build a permanent house. Over the years, they witnessed many ups and downs while living in a makeshift hut, but the dream of owning a solid, secure home never left their hearts. A turning point came when they were granted the opportunity to build a permanent house under PM Janman Awas Yojana. For Chanda Bai and her husband, this scheme prove to be a blessing, as now they are witnessing their lifelong dream of living in a safe and permanent home come true. Chanda Bai expressed her gratitude, saying, "We never imagined that at this age, we would be able to see our own house. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai have made our dream a reality."

Daughter-in-Law's Family Also Benefited

Mrs. Chanda Bai Kamar's daughter-in-law, Mrs. Budhar Bai Kamar, was married to Kishun Lal two years ago. However, some time after the marriage, she began living separately with her family. Budhar Bai and her husband earn their livelihood by making brooms, and other items from bamboo. They have two children—a daughter named Babli, who is in the 7th grade, and a one-year-old son named Shivam. Budhar Bai's family has also been benefited under PM Janman Awas Yojana. They have received a permanent home under the scheme, which has significantly improved their quality of life. Now, Budhar Bai lives with her family in a safe and beautiful house. She said, "This scheme has not only provided us with a roof over our heads but has also brought stability and dignity into our lives."

Dream of Two Generations Fulfilled

The stories of Chanda Bai and Budhar Bai demonstrate that PM Janman Awas Yojana has brought stability, security, and dignity to their lives with a pucca houses. Both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law expressed their heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, saying that this scheme has been a milestone in turning their dreams into reality. Chanda Bai proudly said, "Living in our own home at this age feels like a dream come true; after two generations, we finally have a permanent house." Budhar Bai added, "This scheme is also a strong foundation for our children's future."
