Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai announced sanction of Rs 25 lakh for statue of Birsa Munda and Rs 50 lakh for construction of additional room in Gondwana Bhawan

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the felicitation program of Kendriya Gond Mahasabha today. In his address to the program as Chief Guest, Shri Sai said that the leadership at the Centre has given the due honour to tribal community by appointing me as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.

"I am a tribal, your brother and ally. With your support, I aim to serve Chhattisgarh Mahatari with all my heart and best of my capabilities", said Chief Minister Shri Sai while addressing the felicitation and martyrdom day ceremony of Amar Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh organized by Kendriy Gond Mahasabha Dhamdhagarh at Kachna Dhurwa Temple premise located in Civil Lines of District Headquarters Durg.
 

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai announced immediate sanction of Rs 25 lakh for installing the statue of tribal folk hero Birsa Munda and Rs 50 lakh for construction of additional room in Gondwana Bhawan in Durg, on the demand of Kendriya Gondwana Mahasabha. People present at the program cheered and applauded the announcements made by Chief Minister.

Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh Government is dedicatedly and rapidly fulfilling the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Besides the approval of Pradhan Mantri Aawas to more than 18 lakh eligible families of the state, our government has paid the outstanding bonus of two years worth Rs 3716 crore to the farmers in their accounts. Our government is also commencing the implementation of Mahtari Vandan Yojana from March 1. At present, applications are being collected and once the eligible beneficiaries for the scheme are identified, they will be provided an amount of Rs 1000 per month directly in their bank accounts.  

Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is the 'Nanihal' of Shri Ram. Chhattisgarh is the place where Shri Ram had spent most of his exile period. Chief Minister further said that Shri Ram's affection for the people of this region and Mata Shabri's pure devotion towards Lord Shri Ram are the invaluable assets of Chhattisgarh. He said that fulfilling the guarantee of Modi ji, our government has started Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme. Praan Pratishtha of Shri Ramlala has been been done in Ayodhya Dham after 500 years. Our government is providing people the opportunity to do 'Darshan' of Ramlala, at government expense.

Referring to another guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister had promised procurement of 21 quintals of paddy per acre from the farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quinta, which we have fulfilled. The difference amount in price of paddy will be paid to the farmer in lump sum. Government has provisioned Rs 10 thousand crore in the budget for this purpose. Fulfilling the guarantee of Prime Minister, our government has now issued an order to provide remuneration of Rs 5500 per standard bag to tendupatta collectors.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated Gondwana Mahasabha for installation of the statue of freedom fighter and social reformer tribal leader Birsa Munda. Tribal leader Birsa Munda was born in Banga village of Jharkhand. Birsa Munda fought to free the people from the dictatorship and oppression of the British and protected the rights of the tribal communities. Chief Minister said that Birsa Munda's life, his inspiring thoughts and revolutionary works are a source of inspiration for all of us.

At the program, the officials of Kendriya Gond Mahasabha honoured Chief Minister by crowning him with a bejeweled cow horn and gifted him a bow and arrow. On this occasion, Chief Minister was also weighed with Motichoor laddus by the tribal Gond community. In the program, Food Minister Mr. Dayal Das Baghel and MLAs Mr. Doman Lal Korsewada, Mr. Gajendra Yadav and Mr. Lalit Chandrakar and President of Kendriya Gond Mahasabha Dhamdhagarh Mr. M.D. Thakur and other officials and people of the community were present in large numbers.
