Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the Guru Parv Mela event organized on the occasion of the 267th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji at Amartapu Dham, Motimapur, Mungeli through a phone call and extended his greetings to the people of the state. Although unable to attend the event in person, he conveyed his deep regret and announced a significant annual contribution of Rs. 10 lakh for the Mela. Mr. Sai underscored the profound significance of the occasion, shedding light on the life and teachings of Sant Shiromani Baba Guru Ghasidas. Emphasizing the values of righteousness and harmony, the Chief Minister resonated the importance of following the path set by the revered spiritual leader.

Since 1996, there has been an annual Guru Parv Mela in Amartapu Dham, Motimapur, celebrating Guru Ghasidas Jayanti. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma attended the event on behalf of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. He praised Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji and wished for prosperity and peace in the state under his blessings . Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma said that Chief Minister Mr.  Sai couldn't make it this time but assured he'd be present next year. Speaking over the phone, Mr. Sharma conveyed the Chief Minister's message through a loudspeaker and announced a contribution of Rs. 10 lakh for the fair starting next year. MLA Mr. Punnulal Mohle, event coordinators and Padma Shri awardee Mrs. Usha Barle were present in the program.

Mungeli MLA Mr. Punnual Mohle started his address by Jaykara of Baba Guru Das. He greeted the representatives, committee officials, devotees, saints, and leaders present in the program. Mr. Mohle said that Sant Shiromani Guru Ghasidas Ji hailed from the holy land of Giraudpuri. Baba Guru Ghasidas practiced rigorous meditation in the Chhatta Hills and spread the message of truth, non-violence, and social harmony to the people.
