Raipur : The month of September is being celebrated as Poshan Maah all over the country. During this, many events are being organized to make the common people aware about nutrition. In this episode, today a nutrition on wheel rally was taken out by the Department of Home Science of Government Milk Dhari Bajrang Mahila Postgraduate College, Raipur. The students of the department enthusiastically participated in the rally. He made people aware through slogans like right nutrition - country roshan and vegetable, salad khao har baar.
College Principal Dr. Shraddha Girolkar along with other lecturers flagged off the rally. Raising slogans based on nutrition, the rally ended at Anganwadi in Nehru Nagar.
In Anganwadi, student Kumari Muskan Lalwani and her group provided nutrition information to the workers through traffic signals, food pyramids. Along with fruits, pregnant, lactating women and nutritious food items to children, jaggery, gram and flaxseed were distributed. A cake made of Kodo was also the center of attraction for the children.
During this program in-charge Dr. Vasu Verma, Dr. Abhaya Joglekar and guest lecturers also participated with the students.
