Sukma district has witnessed significant development over the past four years with extensive infrastructure projects. Strengthening education, healthcare, and road networks has boosted the region's progress while enhancing security measures. Once plagued by nighttime fears, people now travel freely without apprehension. During the virtual inauguration and bhumipoojan ceremony, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel lauded the achievements and highlighted Konta, the Sukma's gateway to enter Chhattisgarh, as the first legislative upon entering Chhattisgarh from South India. He expressed gratitude for the collective efforts in planning and executing the district's development, noting the evident positive transformation. Notably, Jagargunda welcomed the reopening of a school after a 13-year hiatus, showcasing the administration's commitment to education..Chief Minister dedicated 131 development projects worth Rs 303.67 crore, including the inauguration of 33 development projects worth Rs 63.56 crore and laid the foundation stones for 98 development projects, marking a significant milestone in the region's progress and infrastructure development. Chief Minister regrets the inability to meet people in person due to heavy rains but expresses satisfaction in virtually connecting with them. He highlights the significance of rainfall for the region, considering it a beneficial development.

During the virtual meeting, the Chief Minister addressed the demands put forth by Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma for the Sukma district's development. 

He shared that the state government has approved the demands of Mr.Lakhma  for this region and has also laid the foundation stone and performed bhumipoojan for various development projects. The Chief Minister's commitment to sorting various issues, including the recruitment of Bastar fighters and ensuring fair rates for Tendupatta collectors, reflects their comprehensive approach to governance.

During the program, Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma highlighted the significant infrastructure development achieved in the state under the leadership of the Chief Minister in the past four and a half years. The state government's initiatives included loan waivers and fair prices for farmers' paddy, along with a decision to purchase 20 quintals of paddy per acre. Notably, Sukma district recorded a collection of Tendupatta worth Rs. 50 crore 27 lakh this year, greatly benefiting the forest-dwelling communities in the area.

During the program, Bastar MP Mr. Deepak Baij praised the Chief Minister for consistently approving and fulfilling the development plans for Bastar, leading to comprehensive progress in the region. The remarkable development initiatives in Bastar have garnered recognition for the district both nationally and internationally, establishing its unique identity. President of District Panchayat Mr. Harish Kawasi also addressed the program, expressing his views. Collector Mr. Harish S provided a comprehensive overview of the inaugurated projects and foundation stone laying activities. Additionally, Sukma Collector Mr. Harish S presented a detailed report on the Chief Minister's initiatives worth Rs. 303.67 crore in the Sukma district, highlighting their significance and impact on the region.

Chief Minister announced a slew of development projects for Bastar:

During the program, the Chief Minister made several important announcements for the development of the Sukma district. These included plans for a sports complex in the district headquarters, upgrading the sub-health centre in Bhejji to a primary health centre, and approving the construction of a building for the primary health centre in Kistaram. Additionally, the Chief Minister announced the construction of 28 primary school buildings in the Konta development block, a central library, and a youth hostel for both boys and girls. A 100-seater ashram building was also planned for Bodko and Mankapal. The operation of the Chhindgarh Water Supply Scheme through the Public Health Engineering Department and the approval of a B.Ed./D.Ed College in Sukma was also part of the announcements. The Chief Minister allocated funds of Rs 6 crore for the construction of the Sukma bus stand and Rs 4 crore for the Dornapal bus stand. Furthermore, the construction of the Kundanpal pre-matric children's hostel, the construction of the children's ashram in Dabbakonta, and the establishment of a new high school in Kistaram were also approved.
