Raipur : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday removed the Chhattisgarh party in-charge D Purandeshwari and named Vice President Om Mathur in her place.
The appointment order was issued by BJP President J P Nadda.
Mathur is a former member of the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. He is now a BJP Vice President.
The Chhattisgarh BJP co-in-charge Nitin retains the post, the order said.
The announcement came even as Purandeshwari was attending meetings of the party during Nadda’s four-day Chhattisgarh visit.
