One-time 50 percent exemption in road tax on sale of vehicles at Auto Expo 2023 held in capital Raipur postponed with immediate effect

In compliance of the order of the High Court, in payment of lifetime tax of vehicles for allotment of registration mark after the sale of the vehicle at the Auto Expo-2023 organised from March 24 to April 5, 2023 at the Science College Ground in the capital Raipur,  The provision of one-time 50 percent exemption in motor vehicle tax has been postponed by the State Government's Transport Department with immediate effect

It may be noted that the effect and operation of the notification issued by the state government on March 24, 2023, regarding providing one-time 50 percent exemption in motor vehicle tax in Auto Expo-2023 has been postponed by the Bilaspur High Court.  In this regard, the Assistant Transport Commissioner Chhattisgarh has sent a letter to all the vehicle dealers asking them to postpone the provision of one-time 50 percent exemption in motor vehicle tax and ensure immediate necessary action as per the order of the High Court, in the payment of lifetime tax on vehicles.
