Quality roads are being constructed in Chhattisgarh: Public Works Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu

 Following the announcement by the Chief Minister, approval for the construction work of bridges in all the divisions has been obtained


Administrative approval of Rs. 927.27 Crore for building 39 bridges in 7 districts have been received

The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Mr. Bhupesh Baghel discussed ensuring quality and speed in the works relating to the construction of bridges and culverts in the state. For this, the Chief Minister has also announced new construction works in many districts. According to the announcement by the Chief Minister, 10 works have been approved for bridge construction in Ambikapur, Jagdalpur, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Durg, and Raipur. Besides this, an estimate of the ten works has also been sent.

The officers of the Public Works Department have informed Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu that an administrative approval of Rs. 927.27 crores for building 39 bridges at the cost of more than Rs. 10 crores each in Jagdalpur, Ambikapur, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Durg, Raigarh, and Kanker has been obtained, out of which Rs. 607 crores has been spent. The divisional officers have informed that under the Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Yojana, 4132 works worth Rs. 495 crores have been approved, out of which 2245 works have been completed, 870 works are in progress, and 973 works are at tender level. Additionally, 24 works under the A.D.B project are in progress.
