As every household in the village had access to water, the villagers' faces were beaming with joy.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and the instructions of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, pure drinking water is being supplied to the residences of the protected special backward Pando tribe of the state. Durgapur, a village dominated by the Pando tribe, is a dependent village of Umjhar Gram Panchayat within the Baikunthpur development block of Koriya district. This area is home to 47 Panda tribe families. It was a challenge to ensure that everyone in Durgapur village, which reflects the lifestyle of forest dwellers, had access to quality drinking water under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Meanwhile, Officials from the Public Health Engineering Department stated that the Jal Jeevan Mission is being better implemented in the district under the supervision of Collector Mr. Vinay Kumar Langeh. Prior to this, happiness is among the locals as a result of the Jal Jeevan Mission formulating an action plan to bring quality pure drinking water to every family in Durgapur. People from the backward Pando tribe, in particular, have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for providing clean drinking water.

It should be emphasized that women are trained as 'Jal Vahini' under the Jal Jeevan Mission to raise awareness among the villages. Drinking water is tested under Jal Jeevan Mission, according to Jal Vahini Sushri Ramkumari Sarathi, and information about water quality is received. According to the government, work is being done through Jal Jeevan Mission to deliver water through domestic taps to 47 designated houses in Khalpara and Ebalpara of Durgapur at a cost of Rs 35.78 lakh. The Jal Jeevan Mission Yojana provides a sufficient quantity of pure drinking water by making tap water reach every household; residents would no longer have to trek for clean drinking water.
