Chhattisgarh’s highest peak, Gaurlata, located at the northern end of Chhattisgarh, is an incredible place from the perspective of tourism. The district administration is continuously promoting tourism at the local level. Mr. Vijay Dayaram, the Collector of the Balrampur-Ramanujganj district, has prepared a new action plan to provide the local residents of Gaurlata with new employment opportunities. All these plans will now gain momentum because the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, considering the significance of Gaurlata, has decided to turn it into a tourist destination. 

Gaurlata – The highest peak of Chhattisgarh

Gaurlata, situated at a height of 1225 m. is Chhattisgarh’s highest peak. It affords spectacular views of diverse forest regions located at the borders of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Many caves and natural waterfalls are located on these hills. Currently, this place is a favorite spot for local residents for tourism, but after being declared a tourist destination, this place will be promoted in a better way. 

Gaurlata, a favorite destination of local mountaineers

Gaurlata, the highest peak of the Samri Tehsil region of the district, is the highest peak of Chhattisgarh, is the favorite destination for mountaineers, and is also famous for trekking. Administrative teams and local groups conduct mountaineering on Gaurlata as a message to promote tourism in the region. That being said, tourists are still facing difficulties due to difficult roads. 

To overcome this difficulty, the Balrampur district administration and local representatives have been making efforts in this direction and now, after the announcement of the Chief Minister, Gaurlata will be declared the pride of Balrampur, which will provide opportunities of employment to the local people, and gorgeous views of nature to the tourists.
