The Kho-Kho competition under state-level Chhattisgarhiya Olympics 2022-23 was organized at the Madhav Rao Sapre School ground in Raipur. Raipur and Durg divisions qualified for the next round in the Under 18 Boys category. Similarly, in the Under-18 Girls age group, Bilaspur and Bastar divisions secured their place in the next round. Similarly, in the age group of 18 to 40 women, Bastar and Durg divisions entered the next round.
Participants from Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Surguja and Bastar divisions participated in the competition. The first match of Kho-Kho competition was played today between Bilaspur and Raipur division in which Raipur defeated Bilaspur division by 10 points. In the second match Durg defeated Surguja by 14 points and an innings. Similarly, in the Under-18 Girls age group, Bilaspur defeated Surguja by 18 points and an innings to enter the next round. In the women's 18 to 40 age group competition, Bastar defeated Raipur by 18 points and an innings and in the second match, Durg defeated Surguja by 11 points and an innings to ensure their place in the next round. All the matches in the tournament were one sided. Other age group matches of Kho-Kho competition will be played on Monday. It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel had started the Chhattisgarhiya Olympic Games to promote traditional sports of Chhattisgarh.
