Prime Minister Narendra Modi Metro train service inaugurated between Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar

Ahmedabad : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the second phase of the metro today on 16 September. Metro Phase-2 will connect Motera in Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar Sector-1. Not only this, but a corridor of Metro Phase-2 will connect GIFT City, Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad. PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated the 20.8 km long corridor and 8 stations of Phase 2. In the coming time, the metro will go to Secretariat, Akshardham, Old Secretariat, Sector 16, Sector 24 and Mahatma Mandir.
Motera to Sector 1 is 15.4 km and includes 6 stations and 5.4 km 2 station link lines. Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-2 is connected between Motera and Gandhinagar. Phase 2 is a continuation of the North-South Metro Corridor of Ahmedabad Metro Phase-1. The main line is an extension of the Motera line from APMC and goes to Mahatma Mandir. The branch line starts from GNLU and ends at GIFT City.
It is worth noting that the total length of Metro Phase 2 rail line is 28.2 km. It includes 22.8 km main line and 5.4 km branch line. The main line has 20 stations and the branch line has 2 stations. The total cost of Metro Phase-2 project is Rs 5,384 crore.(Agency)
