Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday hailed the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Labour & Employment Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya for the historic implementation of the four Labour Codes in the country.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this major decision on labour reforms is an unprecedented guarantee of rights, safety, social dignity and economic empowerment for more than 40 crore workers and labourers across India.
He said that today marks a historic milestone in the labour sector of India. With the enforcement of all four Labour Codes, provisions such as the right to minimum wages, equal pay for women, gratuity for fixed-term employees, social security for every worker, free health check-ups and double wages for overtime will be uniformly ensured across the country. He added that these measures will not only benefit the working class but also lead to a more transparent, balanced and worker-friendly industrial environment.
The Chief Minister said that the implementation of the Labour Codes is a major transformative step towards the inclusive and self-reliant India envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said the working population of India is the foundation of the nation’s productive strength and economic prosperity, and protecting their rights is a priority for any strong nation. These codes will provide a safer, more dignified and empowering environment for the country’s labour force.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya for giving highest priority to workers’ rights, welfare and social security through this decision. He said that these reforms will form the basis of a new economy, improved industrial relations and a stronger labour market.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the effective implementation of these Labour Codes will further strengthen employment, production, investment and industrial growth across the country, thereby enhancing India’s global competitiveness.
