PM Narendra Modi arrived in Poland on a two-day visit

New Delhi/ Warsaw : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Poland in the first leg of his two-nation visit. This is also the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in the last 45 years. During this, PM Modi was given a rousing welcome at Warsaw airport. PM Modi will be on a visit to Poland on 21 and 22 August and after that he will visit Kiev, the capital of war-torn Ukraine, on 23 August. PM Modi's visit to Poland is taking place when both the countries are completing 70 years of their diplomatic relations. After reaching Poland, PM Modi paid floral tribute at the Jam Saheb of Navanagar memorial in Warsaw.

In his statement before leaving for Poland, Prime Minister Modi had said, My visit to Poland is taking place at a time when we are marking the 70th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. Poland is a major economic partner in Central Europe. Our mutual commitment to democracy and pluralism further strengthens our relations.(Agency)
