Arvind Kejriwal addresses the 11th National Council Meeting of Aam Aadmi Party
Agency in put
Delhi :Taking note of the 14 per cent vote share of AAP in the recently concluded Gujarat polls, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that winning 5 seats was as difficult as “milking an ox”.
His statements came while chairing the National Council meeting of Aam Adami Party (AAP) at Calista Resort in Kapashera on Sunday. “In one year we got Punjab, won the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), 2 MLAs in Goa and 5 MLAs with 14 per cent vote share in Gujarat. In reference to the Gujarat success, one person told me that I milked an ox. Everyone can milk a cow but we milked an ox,” quipped Kejriwal.
Exuding confidence, he further added, “Our government will be formed in Gujarat in 2027.”
The Aam Aadmi Party National Council and National Executive met on Sunday for the first time after AAP attained its national status. In National Council, party leaders discussed various political issues and passed resolutions. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also asked the people to boycott Chinese goods.
Slamming the Modi government, he said, the government does not care about the lives of soldiers. Indian soldiers prevented Chinese troops from entering the Indian territory last week during a border face-off that led to injuries on both sides, the government said earlier this week.
The recent skirmish was the first since deadly clashes in June 2020 when Indian and Chinese troops were involved in hand-to-hand combat in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh, in which 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives.
In the present discourse of events, Kejriwal alleged, “Who are buying the goods of China? What is the compulsion of BJP to buy goods from China? Can’t we increase our indigenous production? We buy the same stuff from China which could be produced in our country.”
Adding further he said, “The government is driving away the people of India and hugging the people of China. Traders and industrialists are leaving India.”
At the event, Kejriwal also categorically pointed out the difference between AAP and other parties. “One party is enmeshed in corruption, whereas the other party promotes hooliganism and provides shelter to the goons. People can see that AAP stands for honesty and impartiality.”

Nyay Ke Char Saal’: Power production will further increase in Chhattisgarh
Article - Govind Patel, Manager (Public Relations), Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company
Chhattisgarh achieved a new milestone in the history of energy production when Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel decided to set up a new power plant of 1320 MW on August 25. In fact, this is a historic decision which has added a new dimension to Chhattisgarh. After this decision, it has now become a zero power-cut state which could remain so for many years. This decision is also historic because it will be the largest and most modern plant of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company. Now, Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company has a power generation capacity of 4300 MW.
Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country, which is known for the Zero Power Cut state. Here consumers are getting 24x7 power supply. Energy consumption is considered to be the biggest indicator of the progress of any region. Energy consumption is increasing rapidly in Chhattisgarh. At the time of the establishment of the state, where per capita energy consumption was 300 units, today it has increased to 2044 units. Keeping in view the demand for energy in future, the state government has taken many major and historic decisions.
Following the instructions of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, work has started on preparing an action plan for setting up two supercritical new power generation plants of 660 MW each in Korba West under the Power Generation Company. An expenditure of Rs.12915 crore is estimated for the construction of this plant. Both these units are set to be completed in the financial years 2029 and 2030. For the first time after the establishment of the state, a power plant of such capacity is being set up. This shows the foresight of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel.
The land of Chhattisgarh has immense mineral resources. Chhattisgarh is third in the country in terms of coal reserves. These natural resources are being used in power plants across the country. But the residents of Chhattisgarh do not get its benefit. If industries related to mineral resources are established here, then the people of this place get direct benefits from it.
The cabinet has taken another major decision in the field of generating electricity from water. Chhattisgarh State Hydroelectric Project (Pump Storage Based) Establishment Policy 2022 has been approved in the cabinet. In the existing hydropower plants, rainwater is collected in the dam and electricity is generated by passing it through the turbine. In this old technique, water is used only once.
At present, a new ‘pumped storage’ based hydroelectric power project has been prepared, in which the same water can be used multiple times. In this technique, a configuration of two water reservoirs at different elevations that can generate power as water moves down from one to the other (discharge), passing through a turbine. The system also requires power as it pumps water back into the upper reservoir (recharge). The recharge process can be done using renewable sources of electricity generated from solar energy during the daytime and electricity will be generated by dropping it in the turbine at night. PSH acts similarly to a giant battery because it can store power and then release it when needed. This water will be collected again in the dam. In this way, the same water can be used again and again.
The Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company is preparing a detailed action plan for the establishment of pumped storage hydroelectric powerhouses at five such places in the state. 7700 MW of electricity can be generated at these five places. An MoU has been signed on November 29 with the central government agency WAPCOS (Water and Power Consultancy Services Limited) to prepare the DPR. Chhattisgarh State Hydroelectric Project (Pumped Storage Based) Establishment Policy 2022 was approved in the cabinet meeting held on September 6 under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister to encourage investment in the establishment of pumped storage-based hydropower projects in the state.
With these two decisions, new employment opportunities will be created for the people of Chhattisgarh. Right from the establishment of the plant to its operation, thousands of people will get direct employment. This plant will be set up with state-of-the-art technology, which will produce very less pollution during operation. This will meet the increasing demand for energy in future. This decision will boost the industrial as well as the agricultural sector which in turn will boost the economy of the state. This decision will be a milestone for Chhattisgarh in the future.

Heavy BJP machinery' made MCD polls toughest election contested by AAP: Kejriwal
New Delhi, Dec 10 (PTI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said the "heavy BJP machinery" deployed during campaigning made the MCD polls the toughest election contested by the Aam Aadmi Party so far and accused the party of trying to "buy" AAP councillors.
Addressing the newly elected councillors, Kejriwal claimed that the BJP has started telephoning the AAP councillors and offering them up to Rs 20 lakh.
"This election was very very tough. A few people say it was an easy election, but it was not. The way they conspired against us and the way they used state machinery against us, it was the toughest elections we ever contested," Kejriwal claimed.
Stop stifling education, reinstate minority scholarships: SIO
The continuous attack on access to education of minorities shows the callous attitude of the present government, whose hollow rhetoric of 'sabka sath, sabka vikas' has been unmasked in the broad daylight. The rollback of pre-matric scholarship and Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) shows the state's blatant disregard for educational equity and washing its hands of key domains such as education. There's an urgent need for condemnation and mobilization of conscientious citizens against this onslaught on education and the dignity of minorities.

Masahati survey conducting in Abujhmad area
Survey of 110 villages of Narayanpur district completed
Survey conducted for the first time after independence
More than 7 thousand 7 hundred farmers get Masahati Pattas
About 2200 farmers to sell paddy for the first time on support price
TNINS
The area of Abujhmad is spread over about 4 thousand square kilometers which covers the areas of Narayanpur, Bijapur, and Dantewada. Mostly these areas are surrounded by mountains and dense forests and tribal families reside in these areas. This area has been isolated for a long time. The survey of the land was not carried out since independence, due to which the tribal farmers living here faced many problems. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the state government took an important decision to conduct a ‘Masahati Survey’ considering the problems of the farmers of the Abujhmad area.
Survey to be conducted for 275 villages of Abujhmad
There are more than 275 villages in the Naxalite-affected area of Abujhmad where the process of the survey was not done yet. These are mostly located in the Narayanpur, Bijapur, and Dantewada districts of the Bastar division. The state government does not have any records of these villages in this context. It was decided by the Council of Ministers that more than 50 thousand people living in these villages of the Abujhmad area will be provided with the khasra and map of the land held in their possession. Due to this, the official record of the land in their possession will be available to the farmer families and they will be able to transfer the land in their possession. In this way, about 10 thousand farmers will get ownership of more than 50 thousand hectares of land under the Abujhmad area.
Survey to be conducted for 246 villages in Narayanpur
Following the decision of the Council of Ministers taken on 27 August 2019, 246 villages were notified for the ‘Masahati survey’ of the Narayanpur district by the Revenue Department of Chhattisgarh. These villages include 237 villages of the entire Orchha development block and 9 villages of the Narayanpur development block. Till now survey of 110 villages of Narayanpur district has been conducted successfully, which includes the 9 villages of Narayanpur development block and 101 villages of Orchha development block. So far, Masahati Khasra has been distributed to more than 7 thousand 7 hundred people.
Farmers getting ownership rights
In the Abujhmad area, many farmers had been cultivating the land occupied by them within the forest areas for so many years, but due to a lack of land survey, they did not have any land-related documents. Neither they could take advantage of any government scheme nor could they get loans from banks for farming. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel takes the initiative to conduct the survey in the Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district and farmers were given masahati pattas. This has given land ownership rights to the farmers.
More than 2000 farmers will sell paddy for the first time
Masahati patta has been distributed to many farmers after the survey conducted by the district administration of Narayanpur district under the Abujhmad area. In the current Kharif season, 2 thousand 193 farmers of Abujhmad will sell paddy for the first time after getting Masahati Khasra. Paddy is being procured from such farmers at the support price by the government based on the masahati survey. With this, farmers have started getting government schemes as well as other benefits. Under this, 35 farmers have been given solar dual pumps worth Rs.112.35 lakh, which will provide irrigation benefits to 87 acres of agricultural land. Along with this, Rs 127.97 lakh through a KCC loan, 1700 horticulture tool kits, and mini kits for the seed have also been distributed in 493 cases. Similarly, caste certificates have been provided to 2731 beneficiaries, and domicile certificates to 1573. Along with this, 11370 kg of paddy, 536 kg of lentils, and 470 kg of mustard seeds have been distributed to these farmers.
Pappu Potai sold paddy for the first time at a support price
Mr. Pappu Potai, a farmer of village Kadandi under Narayanpur district, has been given Masahati Khasra of about three and a half acres of land and now they have the ownership rights of the land. Pappu Potai, a young tribal farmer of village Kandadi, who sells paddy at the paddy procurement center after obtaining Masahati patta, told that he cultivated paddy this time on about 3.5 acres of land. He sold about 32 quintals of paddy. He told that in the previous years also he had cultivated paddy, but due to a lack of government documents, he was not able to sell paddy at the support price. In compulsion, he had to sell his crops to the middlemen at half the price. After the Masahati survey, he has been provided help for land leveling and construction of dubris. Farmer Pappu Potai said that due to the opening of the paddy procurement center near his village, the farmers of the surrounding areas are getting a lot of conveniences. He told that under MNREGA, along with the work of ‘Dubris’ construction and land leveling of fields, fertilizers and seeds have also been provided. He wants to use the amount received from the sale of paddy for fencing the field and bore on the field so that he can grow different crops for the coming seasons.

Impact of Gujarat election result on upcoming Lok Sabha and economy: Kedia
Usha Pathak / Navesh Kumar.
New Delhi, 8 Dec, 2022. Eminent economist and Chartered Accountant by profession GK Kedia today said that the return of BJP in Gujarat is positive for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the ongoing efforts to bring the economy back on track.
Shri Kedia said this while reacting to the return of BJP in Gujarat, overturning of power in Himachal Pradesh and MCD election results.
The return of the BJP in Gujarat would give a positive boost to the ongoing efforts to bring the economy back on track along with the benefits of the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he said .
Shri Kedia said that as far as Himachal Pradesh is concerned, there has been a change of government in every election. This time Congress has got the mandate. This will have a negative impact on the pace of development, as there will be different party governments at the center and in the state. In this situation, Congress will not be able to do anything good.
As far as AAP coming to MCD is concerned, the biggest problem here is cleanliness and basic amenities of the citizens. This has to be addressed as it is very important. L.S.
