Joint Forum for Journalists demonstrated against PIB protested in front of Parliament at Jantar Mantar

SJF India Chapter President Anirudh Sudhanshu urge the govt to fulfill the demands of journalists and requested to make the journalists free from economical burden.

New Delhi. Joint Forum constituted under the joint aegis of SAARC Journalists Forum, United Indian Journalists Association, Periodical Press of India, Indian Journalists Association and Save UNI Movement for the prevention of rising corruption in PIB and the revival of UNI on 18 July 2022 Monday, protested in front of Parliament at Jantar Mantar.

Convener of Joint Forum Sultan S. Qureshi thanked the journalists for making the protest successfull.


On the other hand, Dr. Samarendra Pathak, the leader of Save UNI movement and Executive Chairman of SAARC Journalists Forum SJF India Chapter thanked all the journalist organizations involved in the protest.

He said journalists are in trouble due to the increasing economic pressure on journalism during the demonstration.

SAARC Journalists Forum SJF India Chapter President Anirudha added, “In such a situation, an organization like UNI should be revived so that young journalists who want to come in this field  also get employment opportunities and improve their economic condition.

Working conditions and rights of journalists must be secured. A free press is the only sign of a healthy democracy.

During demonstration journalists demands for Journalist Security Act and Revival of UNI, an 60 Year old News Agency.
