Delegation of Women's Self Defence Organisation meets CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur : During the Jandarshan held at the Chief Minister’s residence, a delegation from the Women’s Self-Defence Organisation, Chhattisgarh, met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and requested assistance for players who have excelled in karate, wrestling and taekwondo at national and international levels. The delegation submitted a memorandum seeking voluntary grants and improved training support for emerging athletes.
The players informed the Chief Minister that they have represented Chhattisgarh in various competitions across India and abroad, and that continued guidance and modern equipment are essential to enhance their future performance. They also emphasised the need for improved training facilities and timely incentive payments to enhance the state’s presence in competitive sports.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai appreciated the dedication of the athletes and assured them that the state government is committed to promoting “equal opportunity and transparent sports development.” He stated that the demands presented by the organisation would be positively considered and that “every possible cooperation” would be extended, enabling Chhattisgarh’s players to achieve even greater success in national and international arenas.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government is working to build a stronger sporting ecosystem through improved infrastructure and athlete-centric policies, ensuring “inclusive and youth-focused progress” in line with the state’s development goals.
