CM Sai Holds High-Level Meet on Finance, Stresses Transparent and Efficient Governance
Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday held a high-level review meeting at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, to assess the state’s economic condition and financial management. The meeting saw participation from Finance Minister OP Choudhary and senior finance department officials.
During the session, detailed discussions were held on key issues including budget management, revenue collection, expenditure control, financial discipline, and e-governance. The Chief Minister was briefed on indicators such as the state’s GSDP, capital expenditure, and the implementation status of major schemes.
Stressing the importance of sound fiscal management, CM Sai said, “Financial transparency and efficiency are vital to ensure the uninterrupted execution of public welfare schemes. A strong financial system is the backbone of development, and the state’s recent growth in GSDP reflects the impact of proactive economic measures.”
Finance Minister OP Choudhary provided updates on the department’s current financial status, revenue inflows, and upcoming strategies. He said funds are being disbursed timely in line with government priorities and that the department continues to focus on transparency and good governance.
Commending the Finance Department’s efforts, CM Sai lauded the innovations introduced over the past 18 months, stating that they have helped reinforce the economic foundation of Chhattisgarh. He reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last mile, driving inclusive and financially disciplined development.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the CM Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretaries to CM Mukesh Kumar Bansal, Rahul Bhagat and other senior officials.
