State Sports Excellence Award Ceremony

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai presented awards to the state's most talented players, in the presence of Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Shri Tokhan Sahu, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, various ministers, and MLAs.
A total prize money of Rs 76 lakh was distributed among 97 awardees for the award years 2021-22 and 2022-23. Besides, Rs 60.33 lakh was transferred to the bank accounts of 502 medal-winning players, totaling Rs 1 crore 36 lakh 33 thousand in disbursements.
For the year 2021-22, awards were presented as follows: 06 players received the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 06 players received the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 02 players received the Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 11 players were honored with the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, 05 players received the Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman and 11 players were awarded the Chief Minister Trophy.
For the year 2022-23, awards were given as follows: 04 players received the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 07 players received the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 01 player received the Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 15 players were honored with the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, 05 players received the Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman, and 24 players were awarded the Chief Minister Trophy.
The ceremony took place at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. Cabinet Ministers Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Shri Dayaldas Baghel, Shri Ramvichar Netam, Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, and MLAs Shri Sampat Agrawal, Shri Purandar Mishra, Guru Khuswant Saheb, Shri Pranav Marpachchi, Shri Moti Lal Sahu, Shri Anuj Sharma, Shri Indra Kumar Sahu, Secretary of the Sports Department Shri Himshikhar Gupta, Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Smt. Tanuja Salam, along with the award-winning players, were present at the event.
