Chief Minister made several important announcements for Konta region on the demand of public.

Announced to upgrade sub-tehsil Jagargunda and Dornapal as Tehsil

Construction of sports ground in Dubbatota and Mini Stadium in Errabor

The second phase of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s mammoth public interaction drive ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’ kicked off from Konta assembly constituency of Bastar division today. Mr. Baghel reached Konta and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state by offering prayers to the ‘Stambh’, ‘Shivling’ and ‘Nandi’ at Shri Ram Lingeshwar temple

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel directly interacted with common citizens in the Konta Nagar Panchayat premises and inquired about the implementation of government programmes and schemes besides hearing their grievances. On the demand of public and local public representatives, he announced upgrade of sub-tehsils Jagargunda and Dornapal as Tehsil. A large number of locals present on the occasion thanked Chief Minister for this announcement. 

Mr. Baghel also made several announcements including establishment of electricity sub-stations at Bandagaon and Jagargunda of Konta block, expansion of 30 bed Konta Community Health Center (Hospital) to 50 beds, construction of quarters for doctors and staff posted in CHC, construction of sports ground in Dubbatota, mini stadium at Errabor and Chhattisgarh entrance gate on the inter-state border of Chhattisgarh.

There was great enthusiasm among the locals on the arrival of the Chief Minister. On the arrival of Chief Minister in Konta, local public representatives and dignitaries gave a warm welcome to the Chief Minister by presenting him a traditional bouquet made of ‘chhind’ leaves. Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma and MP Mr. Deepak Baij were also present on the occasion.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also inspected the Konta Community Health Center and took stock of the health facilities being provided to the patients and availability of medicines. The Chief Minister sat on the bench near Muchaki Budhra, an elderly patient who came to the health center for treatment and inquired about his health. Budhra complained of having fever from last one week and he has reached the hospital today for treatment. The Chief Minister advised them to get proper treatment done in the hospital.

Chief Minister handed over forestland right recognition certificates to 291 beneficiaries

Chief Minister handed over forestland rights recognition certificates to a total of 291 beneficiaries including 187 of Errabor, 25 of Dubbatota, 19 of Vanjamugda, 14 of Phandiguda, 12 of Ekalguda, 9 of Jagavaram, 7 of Pedakisoli, 1 of Odinguda, 4 of Barremoga, 2 of Metaguda, 3 of Burguda and 8 of Asirguda. After receiving their certificates, the villagers expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma and local MLA. Mr. Baghel also distributed power sprayers to a total of 10 farmers of Dhondhara, Konta, Penta, Nagalgunda, Pedakurti, Mulakisoli, Errabor, and Dubbatota. Besides, he also distributed remuneration amount of Rs 3 lakh 40 thousand 460 to 20 Tendupatta collectors of Errabor, Barremoga, Odinguda and Maraiguda Forests.
