Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to the freedom fighter, social reformer, and renowned author, the late Pandit Sundarlal Sharma, on his death anniversary on December 28th. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai stated that Pandit Sundarlal Sharma was a pioneer in raising awareness and bringing social change in Chhattisgarh. During the independence struggle, Pandit Sundarlal Sharma actively participated in various national movements and worked for the strength of the freedom movement in Chhattisgarh.
Pandit Sundarlal Sharma, popularly known as the "Gandhi of Chhattisgarh, fought for the rights of farmers and played a significant role in the famous Kandel Satyagraha. He raised his voice against the social evils like superstition and untouchability prevalent in the rural areas of Chhattisgarh. His thoughts and values will continue to inspire us.
