Raipur: Huge farmers and tribal convention will be held at Dhuragaon in Bastar: Plants affected farmers of Lohandiguda area will meet land documents

Chief Minister reviewed preparedness


Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel reached Dhauragaon, Lohandiguda Development Block of Bastar district today. He reviewed the preparations for the massive farmer-tribal conference to be held on 16th February.

    It is notable that in the year 2008, ten villages of the Lohandiguda Development Block were acquired for construction of Tata Steel Plant in the year 2008, but there was no establishment of the industry by the concerned company. In the year 2016, the company wrote the letter to the then state government and expressed its inability to install the industry there. On reaching Dhuragaon of the Chief Minister, the Panchayat representatives and the villagers who came from these villages met with the Chief Minister and talked to the Chief Minister.
    The Chief Minister told the villagers that the state government has decided that 1707 farmers of all ten villages will be given back about 1784 hectares of land. This work is happening for the first time in the whole country. The Chief Minister also informed the villagers that the compensation amount given to farmers in lieu of the acquisition of land will not be withdrawn from the farmers. He informed that in this program, the document will be provided to the plant affected farmers.

    The Chief Minister instructed the officers to make the necessary preparations for the program. Collector Dr. Ayyaj Tamboli gave the information regarding the preparations for the farmers-tribal convention to the Chief Minister. On this occasion, a large number of rural, public representatives and senior officials of the district administration were present on the occasion including Industries Minister Mr. K. K. Lakhma, Chitrakot MLA Mr. Deepak Badge, Commissioner Mr. Dhananjay Devangan, Inspector General of Police Mr. Vivekanand Sinha, Superintendent of Police Mr. D Shravan.
