Organized program on advanced technology for crop production under my gaurav campaign


Bemetra September 24, 2018- A day-long farming training program was organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, in the village of Jhal, in the past through financially funded all-India integrated agriculture weather project. Mr. Hori Lal Sinha, the chief guest of the program was a member of the district. The theme of the training program was "Advanced Technique of Crop Production" in the context of "Climate Change" under My Village My Gaurav Campaign. First, the object specialist of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. Ranjit Modi started the program and said that the role of Krishi Vigyan Kendras in agricultural uplift is important. In the state of Chhattisgarh, 25 Krishi Vigyan Kendras have been established and only two districts are left to be established in Sukma and Kadgaon. Climate change is happening in the state of Chhattisgarh and there is a sign of increasing temperature and change in rainfall in Rabi. After this, Mr. J. El Chaudhary Senior Scientist and Chief Investigator, All India Integrated Agricultural Weather Research Project gave information in the context of the project. It was told that research work is underway by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University but information of research work is not accessible to the farmers. Therefore, the expected results are not available. Keeping this in mind, my Gaurav campaign has been undertaken in the entire India year by the Government of India so that the information of research work can reach the farmers. He told about agriculture and weather forecast information related to climate resistant farming techniques and the availability of agricultural and meteorological forecast under rural agricultural weather service. Through the mobile government of India, almost two crore farmers are getting information about weather and agriculture advice in the whole country. In Chhattisgarh, about 14 lakh farmers are being sent this message. This goal of the Government of India is that India can get this information from 9.5 crore agricultural households throughout the year. So that farmers can take advantage of advanced agriculture. It was also informed that every year, a national level farmers' fair is organized by the efforts of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University and Agriculture Department, through coordinated efforts, so that the farmers can get benefitted by accessing them. After this the farmers were informed that due to adoption of soil and water conservation and dairy farming, development in agriculture is possible and this is the time demand.


Dr.R. Thamatam, senior scientist and chief agricultural science center, Bemetra said that keeping in view the climate change, the integrated farming system is an integral option. He gave lectures on the role of climate change and agricultural science centers. Dairy farming, poultry, silk farming, mushroom production and fish farming in integrated agriculture system can be coordinated in agriculture. The farmers of Chhattisgarh keep the water in view of the uncertainty of rain. Nowadays weather-based crop insurance schemes have come and farmers should use it. Farmers will have to adopt the techniques of fodder production for their cattle throughout the year. After this, Mr. Rajkumar Solanki, Sub-Divisional Officer, Agriculture Department informed that various schemes of Chhattisgarh state government are going on and farmers can avail the benefit. Nowadays, there is a need to adopt various measures of plant protection in the paddy crop. In the Department of Agriculture, the scheme for exemption received by Chhattisgarh State Government related to diesel pump and electric pump is also underway and the farmers can avail this benefit.


The Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme was explained in detail. It was stated that the sum insured in paddy-based and irrational uninsured is different.
