Balodabazar: Workers of Janjgir district trapped in lock-down sent home


24 workers of Janjgir-Champa district stranded in the district under the Corona lock-down were sent to their villages and houses today. He is dispatched from a passenger vehicle after being satisfied with the first health test of departure. It is noteworthy that the state government has asked the district administration to arrange to send the trapped workers within the state as per their wish. In this order, on the instructions of District Collector Shri Karthikeya Goyal, all arrangements were made by the SDM and Incident Commander Ms. Laveena Pandey for the safe return of workers. SDM Ms. Pandey told about this that these laborers under Balodabazar Tehsil were stationed in temporary relief camps in village Thalki for almost a month. All these were engaged in the work of canal lining being done by a contractor under the Water Resources Department. With the help of the contractor by the Relief and Disaster Management Department, strong arrangements were made for food and drinking and health testing for them in the camp. In the camp too, they were living happily without any problems. In lining work, these people were engaged in various tasks like porter, mistry, driver, supervisor etc. The laborers of village Lachhanpur, Hanumanta, Gidhauri, Kugharitar, Sakreli Khurd, Bhatmahaul, Sonagudha and Artery villages are included in Janjgir district.
