Organizing the program on World's Soil Day Information about the importance of soil testing given to farmers Distribution of Health Health Card done to farmers

World soil Day program was organized under the chairmanship of Additional Collector Shri Vijay Kumar Kuzur in Balrampur 05 December 2018 / Joint District Office Building. On this occasion, farmers were given detailed information about the benefits of soil test, as well as distribution of the Health Health Card to the farmers.
On the occasion of World Earth Day, Additional Collector Shri Vijay Kumar Kuzur highlighting the importance of soil testing to get good yields to the farmers in the program told farmers what nutrients are available in the soil and the nutrients The deficiency is done by its natural resources and chemical fertilizers. He advised all farmers to use chemical fertilizers in the proper quantity to meet the deficiency of nutrients which are found in the soil by testing soil of their fields. Farmer is the food producer for the country, which is very important for us. He said that the intention of the government is to take advantage of the schemes of the farmers' rule and become self-reliant. Deputy Director Agriculture Shri Ajay Kumar Anant told the farmers that in the year 2018-19, the target for making 10743 cards for the Soil Health Health Card has been obtained, out of which 8300 samples have been collected and tested. Besides, soil testing is being done by making a grid of all the Rakabs under soil card scheme and encouraged the farmers to use the following fertilizer on the basis of the soil test report. He said that the fertile strength of the soil of a field is directly related to its yield. Often it has been seen that when a certain species of crop grows in different fields, the difference in yield is found. This is because the ability to provide the physical properties of all the soil and the necessary nutrients is not the same. Similarly, if the fertilizer is applied in different fields then there is a difference in yield. Therefore, on the basis of soil testing, balanced use of fertilizers is required, otherwise the possibility of imbalance of nutrients in soil and plants increases, which has adverse effects on the yield. This is the reason that fertilizer should be used on soil testing basis.
In the program, the farmers were given information about soil testing through presentations, and soil testing of Gram Panchayat Jatro and Jabar's 09-09 farmer, 03 panchayat of Jawahar Nagar, 02 panchayat of Surra and 01 farmers of Gram Panchayat Jaradih.
