Raipur : Chief Minister inaugurated Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sikh Museum : Museum gives glimpses of inspiring and glorious history of Sikhism : Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

 Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today attended a programme organized on the occasion of Fifth Sikh Guru Arjun Dev ji's martyrdom day, at Gurudwara Gurunanak Nagar at Shyam Nagar area of capital city Raipur. Mr. Baghel commemorated the martyrdom of Guru Arjun Dev with reverence and respect.

Chief Minister said that Guru Arjun Dev showed the path of sacrifice to humanity. His martyrdom would be remembered for generations to come. On the occasion, Chief Minister inaugurated Shri Guru Teg Bahadir Sikh Museum built in the Gurudwara premise. He said that this museum would introduce upcoming generations to the glorious and inspiring history of Sikhism.

On the occasion, Gyani Sukhjinder Singh from Amritsar, Chairman of Gurudwara Gurunanak Nagar Managing Committee Mr. Preetpal Singh Chandok along with office-bearers and a large number of members of the community were present. Chief Minister said that it was the dream of late Mr. Dileep Singh Chawla and late Ajinder Singh Chawla to establish Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sikh Museum based on history of Sikhism in Raipur. Mrs. Manjit Kaur Chawla and her family has contributed greatly in establishing the museum. Their efforts have built a tourist destination in capital city. Mr. Baghel said that Sikh community is a lively community, I feel great to be in their company. The Museum also has a library with books related to history of Sikhism.
