Raipur : Food Technology is a branch of science that deals with the techniques involved in production, processing, preservation, quality management, packaging, labeling, capacity building and skill development in food processing and creation of value chain, entrepreneurship development and distribution of food products.
 

The field also involve techniques and processes that are used to transform raw material into processed products, reduction in post-harvest losses etc. Chhattisgarh government has recognized the importance of food processing technology and started first Food Technology College at Raipur under Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya in 2020.

Under this 4-year degree program, B. Tech. (Food Technology) degree will be awarded to the students. Its syllabus is approved by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and latest to fulfill the demand of industry and market.

Admission Procedure

→ The eligibility for admission to college is 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
→ Students also have to clear Pre-Engineering Test conducted by CGVYAPAM.
→ Admissions will be given on merit in PET examination.

→ Age Limit: 16 years (minimum)
