People of India moved from “Chalta hai attitude”: Piyush Goyal

Mumbai: Union Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal on Sunday said that the people of the country have moved from “Chalta hai attitude,” one of the biggest changes Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has brought in the mindset of the people.

He said: “One of the biggest changes this (NDA-led BJP) government has brought is in the mindset of the people. People of the country have moved from “Chalta hai” attitude. This government decided to improve the lives of poor, farmers and that sector of society which was neglected.” The minister also interacted with students and took questions from the IITians.

He said that there are a number of IITs and IIMs which have played an important role in developing India, adding, “Best thing happened to India is that we have become more demanding. The country has moved from fragile to the faster growing large economy.” He asserted that in the last five years under the leadership of Modi government India has registered lowest Inflation. Goyal said that in the health care sector Ayushman Bharat Yojana has made health care available to poor of poorest in the country. Talking about ‘Make in India’ initiative, he said that Vande Bharat Express is a brilliant example of it.
