The most suitable state for investment in Chhattisgarh: Dr. Raman Singh

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh received a courtesy call by Consul General (Consulate General) Mr. Edgard D. Keagan, here in India, where he was present at his residence. The Chief Minister welcomed him on arrival in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister presented the symbol to him and Mr. Edgard also gave the symbol to the consulate Chief Minister. The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is the most suitable place with investment. All basic amenities are available here. Our state is situated in the middle of the country, there is abundant amount of mineral resources. Along with road and rail connectivity, it is connected to major locations. Here the new Raipur has been developed, which is included in the Smart City of the country. There are all the major offices including the Ministry. Good roads are also being built and rail facilities are also being expanded. He said that those who are interested in investing in Chhattisgarh come here, welcome them, they will be given all possible assistance.

The Chief Minister said in relation to the priorities of the state- our priority is to provide all basic amenities in the state. Connecting all the locations of the state with road and rail connectivity. Road network is being laid here at a cost of about Rs 2100 crore. The national highway going through the state is being made 06-lane. Rail route is being expanded through the rail corridor in the major parts of the state.

During the discussion, the Chief Minister said that concrete efforts are being made to make the state naxalite free. The Sarguja area is naxal-free. Bastar will also be naxal-free soon. Roads are being constructed in remote areas. Residential schools have been set up to provide better education. The whole picture of Dantewada district has changed, where thousands of children are getting education in Education City built there.

In order to provide better health facilities, a specialist doctor has been appointed in the district hospital. New mobile towers are being installed for telecom and mobile connectivity. Internet facility is being provided through Bastar Net. The chief minister said that Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to provide food security. 
Rice is being given at a rate of rupees per kilogram in the poor category here. Along with salt, it is also being provided free of cost, due to which there has been a considerable decrease in the rate of mortality and infant mortality, including malnutrition.

The Chief Minister said that in the field of education and health, with the cooperation of the State and Central Government, important schemes are being implemented including Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. With the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the assistance received from the Center to the Center has increased to 42 percent. This has led to a rapid increase in the development work of the state and Chhattisgarh will soon be among the leading states of the country.
