Raipur: Chief Minister Launches Oraa-017 in AIIMS Raipur

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today inaugurated the four-day festival, Oraina-2017, organized by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur, which will conclude on October 31. It will include students from technical institutes including other medical colleges related to AIIMS and other medical colleges in the state. Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that this four-day event of AIIMS Raipur is unique. The organizer is eligible for this. This is a big attachment to me because I have been associated with it from the beginning. The then Union Health Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj laid its foundation. It started in 2012, in which the first batch started the study in which the first batch started the study Since then, it has become a fully developed medical institute, where treatment facilities for critical illnesses are available. Now the patients of the state do not have to go out to get treatment. Even patients from nearby areas also come to get treatment. There is over 1000 OPDs and 400 beds per day. Thus, gradually the institute is progressing, surely one day it will be named all over the world. It will be your participation.

He said - The education of medicine is a penance. You must be successful in this. But in addition to studies, other activities such as paintings, singing, and other cultural activities should also be participated. This is a complete development of personality. The most memorable of any person's life is his student life. He should enjoy his lot. Chhattisgarh is full of diversity, which you should know. You will remember this state even after the completion of studies.

The Chief Minister said that when Chhattisgarh State was established, it was a challenge to provide medical facility and treatment facilities in rural areas. Today, 11 medical colleges have opened with AIIMS. District hospitals have been established in all the districts. The only state in the whole country, where under the Chief Minister's Health Insurance scheme, treatment facility is being provided upto 50 thousand rupees. On this occasion, other guests along with the Chief Minister also released the program souvenir. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Bhushal Lal Jangde, Mr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS Raipur, Mr. S.K., Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar University. Pandey, along with other officials of AIIMS Raipur and a large number of students were present.
