Some modifications have been made in Form-26 to be filled by candidates. District Election Officer has informed that according to the order of the Honorable Supreme Court in the decision of the writ petition (Civil) No. 536 of 2011, the Election Commission has made some amendments in Form-26, which must be known for all political parties and candidates. District Election Officer said that in the para 6 of Form-26, a new serial point 6 (A) has been added. In which it has been stated that the candidate has given complete and up-to-date information to all the pending criminal cases in paragraph 5 and 6 and his political party of all criminal cases of conviction. If a candidate is contesting on a ticket for a particular party, then he is expected to inform the team about pending criminal cases against him. The concerned political parties will be bound to put the above information in their respective websites related to the criminal antecedents. Candidates and related political parties will issue a declaration in the widely distributed newspapers of their area about the criminal antecedents of the candidates and will also spread wide spread in the electronic media. Being widely publicized means that it will be done at least three times after filling the nomination papers.

The second change in Form-26 has been made in point-2 of Para-8, where the applicant is in the pretext of the accommodation provided by the government at any time during the last 10 years before the date of notification of the present election, if It has to be announced. Also, the point 5,6,7,8 and 9 were added in paragraph 8. Including information on GST research, research on municipal property, any other research, all government research and other controversial obligation.

The last two revisions in the new nomination form-26 have been done by adding 9 (a) and 9 (b) in paragraph 9. In which details of income sources under 9 (a) and 9 (b) is to provide information about the contract with the appropriate government and any public company or company.
