Chief Minister allots houses to 72 surrendered Naxalites :   Dr. Raman Singh sanctions Residential 'pattas' to 341 families

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today distributed letters sanctioning houses to 72 surrendered Left-Wing Extremists (LWE)  at village Gaadiraas in district Sukma. It may be mentioned here that as per the State Government's Naxalites' Surrender Policy about 100 houses will be constructed in the district. Dr. Raman Singh distributed relief materials, cheques and house sanction letters to about two thousand beneficiaries. The beneficiaries include 186 women who got domestic cooking gas connections under the Prime Minister 'Ujjwala' project. He distributed building construction implements and sewing machines to 20 women. Dr. Raman Singh distributed residential 'pattas' to 341 families. He also distributed Rs Four lakh each to 25 families ex-gratia who were victims of natural calamities. The State Government sanctions Rs Four lakh to victims of drowning, snake bites and lightning. He also gave away Rs 12 thousand each to 10 children whose families are victims of Naxalites' violence. Scholl Education Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, MP Mr.  Dinesh Kashyap and prominent personalities were also present.
