Police bus returning from anti-naxal operation overturned in river, 30 DRG jawans were on board

A major mishap occurred with DRG personnel going on anti-Naxal operation in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh.

Bijapur There has been a big accident with DRG personnel going on anti-Naxal operation in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. The bus returning from the operation with the jawans overturned in the swollen river. Around 30 DRG personnel were on board the bus. This DRG team had left for operations against the Naxalites two days ago. This incident occurred while crossing the river while returning from operation at around 1 pm on Monday afternoon. Efforts are being made to get the bus out of the river.

Bijapur SP Kamalochan Kashyap has confirmed the incident. SP Kashyap said that it is a matter of relief in the accident that no jawan has been harmed. There was more water flow on the river bridge, an accident occurred while crossing it. Efforts are being made to remove the crashed bus from the river. For security, additional force has been sent there.

Team went to mirratur
According to the information received, a team of DRG had gone to Mirtur Hurrepal and Betapal area for operation against Naxalites. After this, an accident occurred while crossing the Miratur River in return. The bus swept into the river. All the soldiers are safe in the incident. The jawans were returning from Mirratur to Bijapur, the district headquarters. In another incident here, a soldier sacked from Bijapur police has been killed. Assistant constable Bajji Atami has been killed by attacking him with an arrow. Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The incident took place in Bhiramgarh police station area Chihka village.
