Raipur. The government of Chhattisgarh has constituted a five-member state-level inquiry committee to investigate the death of three female elephants in the state. The special thing is that all three elephants have died within three days.

Officials said that a five-member state-level inquiry committee has been formed under the chairmanship of retired Principal Chief Conservator of Forests KC Bevarta for a detailed investigation into the incident. The government has directed the committee to submit the report within 30 days. He said that according to the order issued by the Forest Department, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Arun Pandey has been made Secretary. The members of the inquiry committee include senior veterinarian (wildlife) Rakesh Verma, wildlife expert RP Mishra and senior advocate Deva Dewangan. Here the state forest minister Mohammad Akbar has said that the forest department has taken this matter very seriously. It is worth mentioning that two female elephants died in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur forest division and one female in Balrampur forest division.

Pregnant elephant died
Let me tell you that on Tuesday, a pregnant Hathini (Pregnant Elephant) died in a suspicious situation in the forests of Surajpur. The people of Aspas said that the sounds of that elephant's groaning with childbirth were heard throughout the night. But the sounds of pregnant elephant's delivery pain did not reach the ears of the forest department. At the same time, on Wednesday, when the body of another Hathini was found in the same forest, the Forest Department had again given a call citing the post-mortem report. After this, another elephant died. This is the reason that the inquiry committee was formed.
