Raipur: 'Jashpur Mahotsav-2019': Chief Minister pays handicap of horticulture college to Jashpur district

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has announced to open a horticulture college in Jashpur district. He was addressing the concluding program of the three-day Jashpur Mahotsav held at Saliatoli, the gram panchayat adjacent to the Kunkuri block headquarters in Jashpur district today. He said that the priority of the state government is the progress and well-being of every person in the state. He congratulated and congratulated all the people for the successful organization of Jashpur Festival and said that Jashpur district is full of natural beauty, people here are hard working people. The government will make every effort to progress the people here. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released the book Jashpur Tourism written by MLA Shri UD Minij for tourism in Jashpur.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that jackfruit, strawberry, cashew, litchi, nashpatti and tea are being cultivated in Jashpur district. It needs to be promoted. The Chief Minister announced the opening of a horticulture college in the district, in view of the immense potential of horticulture crops in Jashpur district. He also talked about working towards setting up food processing plants in the district to get the farmers a fair price for their produce. Shri Baghel appreciated the efforts of Kunkuri MLA Mr. U.D.Minj to promote agricultural employment, horticulture, adventure sports, eco-tourism in Jashpur district and said that work needs to be done in this direction so that development here A new direction and youth can get employment.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said on this occasion that the promise of farmers to buy paddy for Rs. 2500 a quintal will be fulfilled. No matter how many obstacles come, we will not back down. He told the farmers that you should get the money for your produce. Do not give your loan book to all middlemen and traders. In order to increase the irrigation potential in Jashpur district, he also talked of furthering the work of Shikharpur reservoir and Dhodapani reservoir.
    Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey also addressed the program and said that Jashpur Festival has opened the doors of development possibilities here. Jashpur district will also go fast on the path of progress along with other districts. He said that our government is working towards making the villagers and farmers self-reliant. Referring to purchase of paddy for 2500 rupees quintal and loan waiver of farmers, Shri Choubey said that our Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is encouraged to help the poor, villagers and farmers. Seeing the natural beauty of Jashpur district, he said to promote tourism here. MLAs Shri U.D.Minj, Rampukar Singh, Vinay Bhagat, Jupiter Singh also addressed the program and urged the Chief Minister for cooperation for the development of Jashpur district. Mr. Sergius Minz also addressed the program.
    Earlier, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey also visited the exhibition based on government schemes, programs and achievements by various departments of the government in Jashpur Festival. On this occasion, Jashpur Municipal President Shri Heeru Ram Nikunj, Member of the Board of Secondary Education Shri Pawan Aggarwal and other public representatives were present.
