Interaction with farmers at Chaupal : Sanctioned solar pumps and hand pumps for drinking water

Rs 10 lakh sanctioned for two cement concrete roads and Rs 8 lakh for construction of boundary walls in middle school

On the first day of the third phase of Lok Suraaj Abhiyan, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today morning left from capital city Raipur via helicopter and reached village Bandatola (Naharpur block) of Kanker district. He interacted with village at Chaupal. As it was the first day of the second phase of national pulse polio vaccination campaign, Chief Minister reached aanganbadi centre of this village, and gave polio vaccine drops four-and-a-half-month old Anurag Nishad and 10 month old Himanshu Nishad along with hearty blessings. Dr Singh affectionately took both the kids in his arms one after the other. He advised their parents to take special care of kids' health and avail the benefits of aanganbadi services.

Dr Singh visited Mrs. Khemta's house in Bandatola and viewed her work of silk thread making. Mrs. Khemta informed Chief Minister that she has two acres of farmland. Silk threading work is her additional source of income. Her house is also under-construction under Prime Minister Housing Scheme. Dr Singh also visited Madhu Kunjam's house, who has received a cycle under Labour Department's scheme. Mrs. Kunjam is also doing silk threading work for additional income for her family.

    At the chaupal of the village, Chief Minister gave immediate sanction to solar pump in ward-6 and handpumps for Awaspara and ward-7 of Bandatola gram panchayat for drinking water facility, on request of the villages. He announced sanctioned of Rs five lakh each CC-road from main road of the village to Sheetala Temple and in Awaspara. He sanctioned Rs 8 lakh for boundary wall construction in middle school. Dr Singh gave instructions to District Collector to take necessary action for opening bank branch in nearby village Arod, on request of villagers. Chief Minister gave immediate sanction of Rs 15000 for purchase of sports material for local youth. Some villagers at the Chaupal of Lok Suraaj informed Chief Minister that they have not received full payment of their wages under MNREGA. On which, Chief Minister instructed CEO Jila Panchayat to ensure that the labourers receive their remaining payment in respective bank accounts by March 31. Some villagers informed that they have not yet received tendupatta bonus. On which, Chief Minister directed Forest Division Officer to hold a camp tomorrow and ensure redressal of all such cases.
