Raipur: In the presence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, MOU with Australia's QSEC for skill development in Chhattisgarh

During the visit of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh to Australia, the MoU was signed with the State Government and Australia's Queensland Skills and Education Consortium (QSEC) for skill development in Chhattisgarh in Brisbane today. In the Chhattisgarh, the Skill Development Authority (CSSDA) is working on skill upgradation, in this case it has been moued with the Queensland Skills and Education Consortium (QSEC). The Queensland Schools and Education Consortium (QSEC), along with the Chhattisgarh Skills Development Authority in Chhattisgarh, conducts training programs in mining, engineering and automation, construction, automotive, hospitality and tourism sectors. Ms. Shoren Reed, Operation Manager of Australian Retail College (Member of the QSEC), on behalf of QSEC and Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industry, from the Government of Chhattisgarh signed MoU. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh congratulated Ms. Shoren Reed for signing MOU for the upgradation of skills in Chhattisgarh and participation in its development.

    Queensland Skills & Education Consortium will organize training programs for trainers in Chhattisgarh. Initially QSEC will conduct pilot training program in Raipur district, expanding it after its success, it will facilitate skill development and training in both private and public areas in districts like Bilaspur, Dantewada, Korba, Rajnandgaon. QSEC will also provide facility of quality training to the Vocational Training Provider (VPPs) in the state. He will also establish a Center for Excellence (COE) in the state.

    It is worth noting that the Livelihoodhud College has been established in all the districts of Chhattisgarh by the state government. More than three lakh youth have been trained in Chhattisgarh. There are over 26,000 vocational training providers (VTPs) in Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Mr. Aman Kumar Singh and other senior officials of Chhattisgarh Government were also present.
