Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that Amar Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh will be remembered for ages. The country will always remember the historical contribution of Veer Narayan Singh and his heroic martyrdom in the Indian freedom struggle. Shri Baghel was addressing a huge public meeting at the concluding function of the three-day Veer Mela organized by Sarva Adivasi Samaj in Rajarao Plateau of Gurur block of Balod district on the sacrifice day of Amar Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, the great freedom fighter of Chhattisgarh. Earlier, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel garlanded the photographs of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh and saluted his martyrdom.

    Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that it was the dream of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh to bring prosperity in the lives of the poor and farmers. We all have to make Chhattisgarh prosperous together, only then the dream of ancestors will be fulfilled. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has taken several major steps to provide priority employment to tribal youth living in forest areas and rural areas. It has been decided to constitute Junior Staff Selection Board for Bastar, Surguja and Bilaspur divisions. He said that the Tendu patta remuneration rate has been increased by the state government from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 4000 per bag. This will increase the income of tendu leaf collectors.
